Financial Report 2006 Our new Boston facility was completed and open for business in June of 2006. This spectacular facility provides our world-class staff with a state-of-the-art facility in which to better serve clients and animals in the Greater Boston area. Angell-Boston had its best year ever in 2006, serving close to 75,000 animals with an 11% revenue growth over 2005. Bequests to the Society in 2006 were at a healthy level of $6.4 million versus $4.8 million in 2005 and total return on the Society’s investments was higher at 11% for the year, up from 4% in 2005. 2006 ended with both optimism and challenges for the Society’s finances. Our new fundraising team and Angell-Boston’s new facility will provide great opportunities for 2007. As we continue to look for ways to strengthen our programs’ efficiencies, we remain committed to our mission of caring for animals. Your continued support and commitment to this organization is greatly appreciated and directly impacts our ability to serve animals. Sincerely, Carter Luke, CEO 16
