2015 NATIONAL COMPETITION<br />
The National MATHCOUNTS competition was held in<br />
Boston, MA on May 7-10, 2015. There were 56 schools<br />
and 224 students that participated in the event.<br />
The LA Team was comprised of Jojo Deep (NSU Middle<br />
Laboratory School), Neelambar Mondal (Haynes Academy),<br />
Saraj Zaveri (Haynes Academy), and Davis Glen Ellis (A.E.<br />
Phillips Laboratory School). The LA Team was coached by<br />
Ms. Karen Impastato from Haynes Academy for Advanced<br />
Studies in Metairie.<br />
The LA Team finished with a ranking of 36th. The highest<br />
individual score of the LA Team members achieved a ranking<br />
of 92 (out of 224 students).<br />
Mike D'Angelo from the Bayou Chapter served as State<br />
MATHCOUNTS Coordinator, and was pleased to have<br />
the opportunity to attend the National MATHCOUNTS<br />
competition. He served as a test grader.<br />
