to gain motivation from family, friends and<br />
God. I continued to practice relentlessly,<br />
for hours every day. Soon I became good<br />
enough to get my first paying gig at the<br />
age <strong>of</strong> 10.<br />
Throughout the years I became more<br />
inspired and I performed all over<br />
Indianapolis at this point. My main<br />
motivation for music is Kenny G. I met<br />
him back in November <strong>of</strong> 2012 and got a<br />
photo with him. He normally does not take<br />
photos after his performances but when I<br />
met him for a second time in May <strong>of</strong> <strong>2015</strong>,<br />
I showed him my picture <strong>of</strong> him and I from<br />
3 years ago and he said if you got a picture<br />
then, you can get one now. He signed my<br />
saxophone and said to me “you brought<br />
your horn for a reason, would you like to play<br />
for me?” I told him “<strong>of</strong> course” and I played a<br />
number <strong>of</strong> his hit songs! Kenny was greatly<br />
impressed and told me to keep in touch with<br />
him.<br />
I have been blessed with many opportunities<br />
to play music and meet some <strong>of</strong> the greatest<br />
musicians in this industry. I hope and pray I<br />
can also achieve what they have and even<br />
more!<br />
