Cut off the leaf spring hangers that hold the axle to the frame. Be careful to not damage

the trailer frame when doing this. Support the axle with a floor jack or other suitable

device so it will not fall.

Remove the axles. Grind all of the rough weld that remains.

Remove the bolts & nuts that hold the brake assembly to the end of the spindle. The whole assembly should now come off. You should now have only the spindle remaining on the end of the axle. IS153-001 REV. 4
