Aldeburgh Young Musicians provides training and development opportunities for young people aged 8-18 who can demonstrate exceptionallmusical talent and potential, irrespective of means, social or ethnic background. The upper age limit to join the scheme initially is 16; once you have joined you can stay until you are 18. HOW TO APPLY Application is through an audition process. Through performance, rehearsal techniques, musical awareness, aural perception and interview, successful candidates will demonstrate not only exceptional musical talent and commitment, but also clear potential to develop as a musician and the capacity to benefit from the opportunities provided by Aldeburgh Young Musicians. Students may apply for audition independently, or through recommendation by the Music Service, their school, or private instrumental teacher.
