Programs for Kids and Teens<br />
Preschool Pets<br />
Bring your kids ages 4-5 for an hour of companion animal fun and<br />
learning with Seattle Humane.<br />
What:<br />
-Story time and crafts<br />
-Animal-themed games and songs<br />
-Meet with lovable shelter pets<br />
-Meet other animal-loving families<br />
When:<br />

Humane Teen Club (HTC)<br />
This club is for teens ages 13-17 interested in learning about<br />
animal welfare and becoming volunteers at Seattle Humane before<br />
they turn 18. The members are chosen in late summer and the<br />
program runs throughout the school year from Oct.-June. HTC<br />
meets two Saturdays each month and teens learn about Seattle<br />
Humane and receive special training to prepare them to volunteer<br />
at the shelter. Space is limited to 20 members based on the<br />
strength of their application essays.<br />

Kitty Literature<br />
Children ages 5-10 can practice their reading skills with the<br />
supportive, comforting audience of cats at Seattle Humane!<br />

-A fun way for kids to practice reading<br />
-Positive interaction with pets<br />
