“Happy Hour” is a part of a portrait series<br />
I took back at 2009, while working as a<br />
bartender in Lower Manhattan.<br />
That period of my life was my “in<br />
between”. I left my first job, as a designer<br />
in advertising, to explore the opportunity<br />
of becoming a photographer, an artist or<br />
maybe a writer. I was taking time to be an<br />
observer and thought that learning others<br />
by watching and even creeping will help me<br />
get to know myself.<br />
Although my intention was to tell other<br />
people’s stories, I realized I was eventually<br />
telling my own.<br />
I am currently working as a UX designer,<br />
and use photography as a creative outlet<br />
whenever I want to tell a story. I am<br />
interested in the complicated relationship<br />
between the self and selflessness in portrait<br />
photography and photojournalism.<br />
