last summer, Drennan’s
Crystal technology was once
just the domain of wagglers
and running-line foats – but it
has now entered the pole foat
market and really turned some
heads! So what’s so great about
these little beauties?
An obvious advantage of a
Crystal Dibber is that it’s
unobtrusive in clear or shallow
water whereas a solidcoloured
foat will cast a
shadow and is more visible to
fsh. With a clear foat you’ll

get far more bites in clearing
winter water or shallow
margins, and around islands in
the summer months.
Light but super-buoyant, the
foats are very squat, with a
domed glow tip that’s easy to
see, even when holding 18m of
pole in a ripple. They’re
durable too, as the bonded
glass stem gives strength and
stability – a plus point if your
swim is snaggy. The side eye is
also fxed in such a way that it
won’t rip out when put under
extreme pressure.
Available in 0.2g, 0.3g and

DRENNAN SIDE PULL SYSTEM
& ROLLER CONES
BUY an Acolyte pole and you’ll fnd it kitted out with Drennan’s
clever Side Pull System and Roller Cones. A modern side puller
system that does away with the need for a bung, each top kit is
ftted with white Side Pull Slots made from a super-slick PTFE
material, and the elongated shape is designed to soften the angle
of the pull of elastic to make it works more efciently than a
simple round drilled hole.
The Roller Cone keeps everything neat and tidy inside the top
kit and is designed and engineered to the highest standards,
being moulded to ft neatly up against the Side Pull Slot inside the
kit for perfect elastic alignment. Featuring a machined roller
wheel for an ultra-smooth surface and a mini stainless steel
spindle, the end result is a quality of build that is ultra-smooth,
silent and trouble-free – you’ll never need another puller system
again, and they’re included in all Acolyte poles!

can choose any combination of
kits from the lightest ‘A’ grade,
Standard Carp and up to the
even stronger Carp Plus and
Double Two Plus kits.
All styles are take-apart and
2.89m long, with the Double
Two kits having the facility to
‘break down’ in the No2 for
shallow fishing or shorter
elastics. The ‘A’ kits are for light
elastics, Standard Carp for
medium and Carp Plus/Double
Two for the heaviest work.
These latter two also have
reinforcements on the No2
sections to enable conversion
into side puller kits. Drennan
PTFE bushes ensure a snug fit.
