Who we are The Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center (LCDC) is a 501 C3 Non- Profit Children’s Museum located in the heart of Hammond, Louisiana. It is the only open and operating Children’s Museum in the Northshore area. We serve over 25 different parishes, 5 counties, 20 States and over 252,000 children and their families. The LCDC is an affiliate of the Association of Children’s Museums. We are more than just a conventional Children’s Museum. We are a premiere center that offers over 35 different engaging interactive hands- on exhibits and programs, making the LCDC an excellent educational resource for the entire community. Moreover, it is a great place where toddlers, children and teenagers can learn at their own pace while having fun and playing interactively with their peers. Finally, with each exhibit, we offer a variety of meaningful instructional activities that are extremely useful to Early Childhood education Students, classroom teachers, students, parents, and grandparents who bring their children explore and discover new ways to learn while playing. 3
