Beauty
AND THE
Our gardens are home to an
amazing array of living
creatures that play a
critical role, pollinating our
plants for food and flowers.
The beauty of it is you help
our pollinator populations
by supporting their habitats, which
helps the flowers find true love!
Our Top 3 Pollinator Picks:
Lavender – Just about the perfect plant pick...
hardy, intoxicating lovely fragrance, makes excellent Foxglove
cut or dried flowers, and loves our Tri-Cities heat!
Foxglove – Beautiful, bell-shaped flowers popular with bees and comes in a wide
range of colors. They are special for being one of the few flowering plants that can
grow in the shade. Hint: If you pick the King flower from the main spire, you create
lots of prince flowers that will continue to bloom for a much longer time!
Cosmos – As well as being beloved by bees and butterflies, these sweet flowers will last in
your vase to enjoy on your kitchen table for ten days! A patch of Cosmos will produce at
least two buckets of flowers per week, June through October. Our favorite is Chocolate Cosmos!
