BUITEMS<br />
Quality & Excellence in Education<br />
Mathematical Sciences (GC University<br />
Lahore) announced the organization of a<br />
conference on 21st century Mathematics. Prof.<br />
Dr. Mohammad Nawaz is on the panel of<br />
National Organizing Committee. Abstracts of<br />
papers of Dr. Ansaruddin Syed and<br />
Dr. Mohammad Nawaz have been accepted<br />
for presentation in this conference.<br />
Fulbright Scholarships<br />
Six faculty members of the University won<br />
Fulbright Scholarships. This adequately<br />
speaks of the level of competence of our<br />
University teachers. The selection criteria for<br />
the awardees is so demanding that only the<br />
best of the applicants are inducted.<br />
Research Journal<br />
University publishes the Research Journal -<br />
Journal of Applied and Emerging Sciences.<br />
Mathematics Olympiad<br />
Abdul Salam School of Mathematical<br />
Sciences (GC University Lahore) conducts<br />
National Mathematics Olympiad for youth of<br />
Pakistan every year and BUITEMS has the<br />
privilege of being the host for this<br />
mathematical activity for the participants from<br />
Balochistan. In 2008, the 4th Olympiad was<br />
held at BUITEMS on 25th October.<br />
Seminars<br />
In order to bridge the gap between theory and practice so often experienced by students,<br />
BUITEMS has taken a proactive stand by encouraging the organization and participation<br />
of student seminars. The motive behind this initiative is to encourage interaction of the<br />
students with the business community and to develop their organizational, teambuilding<br />
and communication skills - -skills that are of crucial importance for a successful career in<br />
today's globalized world. BUITEMS commitment for the practical development of its<br />
students and its commitment to the business community at large is reflected in the<br />
activities .<br />

Students of MBA organized a seminar under<br />
the title of "Personnel Policies & Their<br />
Different Aspects" on January 26, 2008 at City<br />
