Our passion and know-how dates a long way back - we have been around long enough to call ourselves<br />
Scandinavia’s oldest produceer of rattan and wicker furniture. <strong>Sika</strong> Møbler was established in 1942 by Ankjær<br />
Andreasen. He only worked with the best wicker makers and together they perfected the art of wicker. His<br />
son Knud Andreasen took over the company in 1981, and in 2013 3rd generation Louise Andreasen became<br />
the main shareholder in <strong>Sika</strong>-<strong>Design</strong> and the legacy has continued. Each piece of furniture is still handcrafted<br />
with the same tradition for craftsmanship, comfort and quality that has caracterized <strong>Sika</strong>-<strong>Design</strong> for the past<br />
70 years.<br />

Maintenance-free-materials<br />

In demanding climates and with large spaces outside near the sea<br />
and in the burning sun, maintenance free furniture is an important<br />
asset for professionals. <strong>Sika</strong>-<strong>Design</strong> exterior weave is a fibre made of<br />
dyed and hardwearing polyethylene. The structure of the fibres and<br />
the weave provide flexibility and optimum comfort. <strong>Sika</strong>-<strong>Design</strong><br />
weave is made to withstand weather conditions all over the world.<br />
All exterior furniture from <strong>Sika</strong>-<strong>Design</strong> is woven on aluminum or<br />
on a hot-dipped galvanized and powder coated steel frame.<br />

Exterior<br />

For the Exterior we offer Avantgarde collection, Affäire, Georgia Garden and ICONS exterior.<br />
The Avantgarde collection is handwoven of a maintenancefree UV resistant <strong>Sika</strong>-Fibre which is mounted on a<br />
stable hot-dip galvanized frame.<br />
The Affaire collection is a combination of the amazing natural resource, Rattan and the fantastic man-made<br />
synthetic fibre.<br />
Georgia garden is romance, coziness and contemplation which make one’s mind drift on a dream trip to<br />
bygone times. Georgia garden is woven of maintenance-free fibres on aluminium frames.<br />
Icons exterior are original designs by Arne Jacobsen, Nanna Ditzel, Viggo Boesen and Franco Albini, made<br />
on aluminium frames woven with synthetic fibre.<br />

For the interior we offer the ICONS and ORIGINALS collection.<br />
Rattan is a 100% natural wooden material. Rattan is a very strong, but yet a lightweight material. Perfect for<br />
professionals who have to move furniture around.<br />
ICONS is a collection of designs by the respected designers Arne Jacobsen, Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel, Viggo<br />
Boesen, Franco Albini and R. Wengler. These designers were all significant to our design history of rattan<br />
furniture with their experimenting and groundbreaking designs.<br />
Originals is a collection of our old rattan design and inspired by our own models from the 50’ties and the<br />
60’ties.<br />
