MICHELLE JONES LAWSON LUNDELL LLP - VANCOUVER, BC Michelle joined Lawson Lundell as a summer student in 2006. After completing law school, Michelle spent a year clerking for the Federal Court of Canada, Trial Division in Ottawa. She rejoined the firm in 2008 to article, and upon completion of her articles joined the Regulatory group as an Associate. Michelle advises private sector, public sector and government clients on aboriginal law and regulatory matters. She also advises clients on i s s u e s i n v o l v i n g administrative law, particularly in respect of judicial reviews. Ms. Leung received a Bachelor of Science, graduating with d i s t i n c t i o n , f r o m t h e University of Alberta in 2006. She attended law school at the University of Western Ontario, receiving a Bachelor of Laws in 2009. CHERIE JAROCK LEGAL SERVICES BOARD - YELLOWKNIFE, NT Cherie made her move from Saskatchewan, where she worked as a Crown Prosecutor and as a staff lawyer with Legal Aid. She now practices family law with the NWT’s Legal Services Board. FIA J. JAMPOLSKY CABOTT & CABOTT - WHITEHORSE, YT Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Fia moved to Whitehorse in 1996 “for a year or two.” She is still there having fallen in love with the land and the people. Fia practiced criminal, family and child protection law for over 10 years through Legal Aid. She now hangs her shingle with Cabott & Cabott and is excited to help represent those seeking reparations for residential school. The resource includes a section on mental health or psychiatric disabilities that offers an overview of these disabilities and practical suggestions for accommodating individual needs.
