Lube oil pressure<br />
The required lube oil pressure of the turbocharger is adjusted with a pressure<br />
reducing valve or an orifice.<br />
The oil pressure is checked via a measuring connection positioned in the<br />
lube oil feed downstream of the pressure reducing valve and the non-return<br />
valve.<br />
The lube oil pressure must be selected so that a pressure of 1.2 – 2.2 bar is<br />
present at this point at full engine load and with the lube oil at service temperature.<br />
The following parameters apply for the monitoring of the lube oil pressure:<br />
▪ The alarm value is to be set for a drop in the lube oil pressure to 1.0 –<br />
1.2 bar.<br />
▪ The limit value for load reduction to half load is 0.8 – 1.0 bar.<br />
