Swing with Style<br />

SOS and Seacare celebrated the Co-operative 10th Anniversary with style<br />

- by inviting its clients, business associates, supporters and friends in<br />

the trade union movement to Orchid Country Club for a friendly<br />

tournament on 20 August 2004.<br />

The response was overwhelming and 125 participants were<br />

registered just before lunch commenced at the Vanda Terrace.<br />

It was after midday when marshals led golfers to their<br />

respective starting holes. By<br />

this time, participants were<br />

gearing to go and couldn’t<br />

Here’s a quick look at the winners of this SOS/Seacare Golf Tournament:<br />

Romeo. The moment Second Runner-Up Lee Chee Kiang 15 37 OCB<br />

arrived. The siren sounded<br />

signifying the start of the<br />

‘B’ Division (handicap 19 to 36)<br />

tee-off, and off they went Champion Chung Kin Soon 19 37<br />

led by guest-of-honour First Runner-Up Robert Lim 19 36 OCB<br />

Mr Matthias Yao, Mayor of<br />

South East CDC.<br />

Second Runner-Up Liu De Tian 22 36 OCB<br />

There were various categories whereby each contestant<br />

could aim to win, such as the Longest Drive, ‘A’ and ‘B’<br />

Division Golfing Prizes, Tikam Tikam, ‘Nearest the Pin’ prize<br />

and…the Novelty Prize of Hole-In-One… which no one won.<br />

All the attractive cash and prizes were sponsored by the<br />

Seacare group of companies.<br />

Non-golf players were not left out too. There were 130 prizes<br />

specially set aside for the final lucky draw.<br />
