Stephanie<br />
Martin<br />
Composer and conductor Stephanie Martin (b. 1962)<br />
holds degrees from the University of Toronto and Wilfrid<br />
Laurier University and makes her home in Toronto. She<br />
is the conductor of Schola Magdalene and Toronto’s<br />
esteemed Pax Christi Chorale. An Associate of the Royal<br />
Canadian College of Organists, Martin has been the<br />
recipient of many awards, including first prize in the Exultate<br />
Chamber Singers’ composition competition (2009)<br />
and in the Association of Anglican Musicians composer’s<br />
competition (2010). In 2011 she was accepted as an Associate<br />
Composer of the Canadian Music Centre (CMC)<br />
and in 2012 was named Composer in Residence for the<br />
Barrie Music Festival.<br />
Martin’s works are performed extensively by choirs<br />
within Canada and beyond, including countless commissions,<br />
most recently of which by Voces Capituli (Antwerp,<br />
Belgium), the Canadian Men’s Chorus, Toronto Diocesan<br />
Choir School for Girls, and the Summer Institute of<br />
