Warranty
OBO Goalkeeping warrants that this OBO
product is free from defects in materials,
workmanship and product design in
accordance with the following…
■ The warranty for this OBO product extends
for the first twelve (12) months beginning on
the date of purchase of the product.
■ This warranty only covers defects in the
materials, and/or manufacturing, and/or
design of the product but does not cover the
normal wear and tear of the products as a
result of ordinary use, or misuse.
■ This warranty does not extend to the
protective qualities of OBO products used in
field hockey, as field hockey is a dangerous
contact sport. In addition, OBO does not
make any specific claims as to the products’
performance when used in field hockey
and will not accept any liability for personal
injury.
■ This warranty does not include any straps
on the products.
■ This warranty extends only to the
original purchaser of the product and
is not assignable or transferable to any
subsequent purchaser or user, without the
written consent of OBO goalkeeping.
■ This warranty is in addition to, and does not
seek to limit, any statutory guarantees to
which you may be entitled.
■ The law applicable to this warranty is the
law of New Zealand.
How to Register your Warranty
To activate your warranty, please visit the OBO
website, www.obo.co.nz.
This is the only way to formally register your
warranty ■ On the front page of the site, click on to
the warranty section ■ After entering your purchase
information you will be assigned a unique Warranty
Reference Number.
How to Make a Claim under your OBO Warranty
In the case of a warranty claim, please return your
product to the Dealer you purchased it from ■ OBO
reserves the right to repair or replace the article
in question.

We suggest you keep this card and use this space

An Important Message for Goal Keepers
Field hockey is a dangerous collision sport
■ Participation in field hockey implies the
acceptance of some risk of injury.
OBO GOALKEEPING EQUIPMENT has been
carefully designed to help you play to your
maximum potential and help minimise the chance
and degree of injury. However, this equipment will
not prevent all injuries.
OBO HOCKEY makes no specific claims as to its
protective ability.
To clean your equipment…use warm soapy water
■ Avoid leaving your equipment in full sun,
particularly for long periods of time and in the rear
of a vehicle ■ The equipment should never be
exposed to a naked flame or left in a sealed plastic
bag in the sun ■ The foam can be repaired by using
any brand of contact adhesive – designed for
plastics
■ Do not cut with a knife or sharp blade.
ROBO BODY ARMOUR
The stance, protection requirements and movements of
a field hockey goalie are very different from those of an
ice hockey goalie
ROBO Body Armour features 17 individual
protection components, and a unique 2 section
design ■ The lower section closely wraps the chest and
ribs, while the upper section floats over it, protecting
the clavicles and shoulders ■ When you move your arms
and shoulders, the upper section closely follows the
body movement, while the lower section / chest stays
firmly in place ■ The “holy grail”…protection at all
times without sacrificing movement and agility.
High density foams cover key body areas and
internal organs ■ The heart is further protected
by an additional (hidden) 16mm super high density
polyethylene foam pad.
You need to choose what style of arm protection you
want ■ The arm guards provide the greatest area of
coverage and protection…but if you really want to
maximise your agility/hand speed and are prepared
to expose a bit more skin…then choose the elbow
guards.
ROBO Body Armour is available in four sizes ■ Arm
length is the best determinant of ‘size suitability’
(measured from fingertip to the centre of the armpit).
If you have hairy armpits we suggest you shave
before measuring.

to reduce bunching in the lower abdomen when bending
and moving, enabling better agility.

and testing, your ROBO Body Armour may vary slightly
from the specifications

shape exactly to your body…after several uses.
