GLOSSARY 1) Liner: covering of the swimming pool, independent from the support, which provides the water tightness and the finish of the basin. 2) Skimmer: swimming pool equipment that allows to suck the water and hold back the largest floating impurities. 3) Chlorinator: chlorine storage inserted in the water filtration system or as an autonomous device in the basin, which may contain sterilizing tablets. 4) Return fitting: element from the circulation system that allows to return water into the basin. 5) Hung profile: assembly element without fastenings that allows to fix the liner in place.
P RACTICAL H INTS Having one's own swimming pool is a dream that more and more of us can fulfil. Before you dive in this world of happiness, take some time to read our practical hints. Swimming pool assembly hints: • Read carefully and entirely the directions of the assembly instructions. Using a swimming pool implies adhering to the safety instructions described in the instructions manuals of each component of the kit. • Mounting an inground swimming pool requires at least the participation of 2 to 3 persons. • In addition to the usual tools, for a proper installation of your swimming pool, you will need the following: - 1 to 3 tons of river sand, depending upon the pool model chosen, - 60 x 60 cm planks, a smoothing board, a plumb line, etc. See the complete tools list of the required tools in the mounting instructions. • In order to ensure your liner a long lifetime, we strongly recommend placing a rot-proof groundsheet, cut to pool size, underneath the liner. Additional info: • Provide an easily accessible place for the filtration unit and the skimmer • If the pool is located below the filtration unit, the latter must imperatively be self-priming. • Any device running on 230 volt (general case for filtration units) must obligatorily be located at 3.50 m of the swimming pool edge (French standard NFC 15-100). For your pleasure and convenience: Ground: The ground on which the pool is to be installed must in any case be firm (never bank up) and stable. It also must be prepared so as to be perfectly flat, smooth and horizontal. A levelled ground is indispensable (without holes or bumps), otherwise stresses will appear, that might damage your pool or its surroundings. Sunshine: Choose a well-exposed spot, if possible to the morning sun (which has a higher heating power than the evening sun). Wind: A wind-exposed pool undergoes significant heat loss by evaporation. Wind can also damage prematurely the (bubbles or winterizing) tarpaulins that are too windexposed. Water and electricity hook-ups: Think about the various supplies and make sure that the electrical line used is protected by a 30 mA differential circuit-breaker.
