Minister may give directions and require information<br />
30.—(I) The Minister may, in writing, give to the Authority directions of a general<br />
character not inconsistent with this Act relating to the performance of the Authority’s<br />
functions and the Authority shall give effect to such directions.<br />
(2) The Authority shall provide to the Minister such returns, accounts, and other<br />
information as he may, from time to time, require.<br />
Limitation of liability<br />
31.—(1) No proceedings, civil or criminal, shall lie against the Authority for anything it<br />
may do or fail to do in the course of the exercise or intended exercise of its functions,<br />
unless it is shown that it did not act in good faith or with reasonable care.<br />
(2) No proceedings, civil or criminal, shall lie against any member, officer, or employee<br />
of the Authority for anything done or said, or any failure to do or say anything in the<br />
course of the operation of the Authority, unless it is shown that the person did not act in<br />
good faith or with reasonable care.<br />
Public Servants<br />
32. All members of the Authority and any of its committees and all officers, employees,<br />
or agents of the Authority, while discharging their duties, shall be deemed to be public<br />
servants within the meaning of the Penal Code.<br />
Part V—FINANCIAL PROVISIONS1<br />
Money to be appropriated by Parliament<br />
33.1 All sums payable to the Authority for services rendered to the State as its agent<br />
under<br />
this Act shall be payable out of money to be appropriated by Parliament for the purpose.<br />
Funds of the Authority<br />
34.1 The funds of the Authority shall consist of—<br />
(a) money appropriated by Parliament and paid to the Authority for services<br />
rendered to the State as its agent;<br />
(b) money received by it for services rendered by the Authority to any other<br />
persons;<br />
(c) money received by the Authority by way of grants;<br />
(d) money derived from the disposal, lease or hire of, or any other dealing with, any<br />
property vested in or acquired by the Authority;<br />
(e) money borrowed by the Authority in accordance with this Act;<br />
(f) income from investments by the Authority made under this Act;<br />
