Jardine Staff and Town Hall<br />

Associate Director<br />

The associate director is a member of the management team for Housing and Dining<br />

Services. Focus areas of responsibility include apartment living, residence life and<br />

marketing and communications.<br />

Assistant Director<br />

The assistant director is responsible for the direct supervision of the neighborhood<br />

staff, as well as the day-to-day interaction with students and their families, as a<br />

function of the Jardine Apartments office.<br />

Town Hall<br />

The Jardine Town Hall is a monthly forum where residents are invited to come hear<br />

updates on the Jardine community, learn about housing and campus resources, ask<br />

questions of staff and get to know other members of the community. Each month,<br />

there is a new central topic and all residents are encouraged to attend.<br />

Administrative Officer<br />

In addition to overseeing daily office operations, the administrative officer<br />

coordinates apartment assignments, check-in/checkout procedures, and assists the<br />

assistant director.<br />

Administrative Assistant<br />

The administrative assistant handles daily office operations and residents’ inquiries.<br />

Occupancy Coordinator<br />

The occupancy coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the application<br />

and assignment process. This position coordinates all matters related to a resident’s<br />

occupancy while at Jardine.<br />

Apartment Area Coordinators<br />

The Denison, Plaza, and West End Neighborhoods as well as the Living Community<br />

at Jardine and Claflin each have a full-time, live-in apartment area coordinator. The<br />

area coordinators provide management and supervision as related to administration,<br />

property management, and programming activities for their respective<br />

neighborhoods. They also select, supervise, and train undergraduate and graduate<br />

student staff. Coordinators hold a master’s degree in student personnel or a related<br />

field and are resources for areas across campus and the community.<br />

Assistant Coordinators<br />

Assistant coordinators are live-in graduate student staff. Administrative<br />

responsibilities for assistant coordinators consist of the general supervision of<br />

buildings, including conducting check-in/checkout procedures and assisting with<br />

lockouts. In addition to being advocates for community development and social<br />

programming, Jardine assistant coordinators also serve as resource persons and<br />

liaisons between residents and Housing and Dining Services.<br />

Resident Assistants<br />

Resident assistants are live-in undergraduate student staff. Resident assistant<br />

responsibilities include general supervision of buildings, including conducting checkin/checkout<br />

procedures and assisting with lockouts. In addition to being advocates<br />

for community development and social programming, resident assistants also serve<br />

as resource persons and liaisons between residents and Housing and Dining Services.<br />

GMRT Staff<br />

Each neighborhood has a general maintenance and repair technician who is<br />

responsible for the day-to-day operation of their neighborhood facilities.<br />
