The eaReef consists of two aquariums – the main display tank<br />
on top of the cabinet, and the sump tank below, inside the<br />
cabinet. The object of the sump tank is to hide away bulky, noisy<br />
or unsightly aquarium equipment like pumps, heaters, protein<br />
skimmers, automatic top-up devices, filters and reactors.<br />
A sump can also add vital extra volume to the main display tank<br />
above it. The larger the water volume, the more fish you can<br />
keep, and the more stable it becomes in terms of slowing down<br />
temperature fluctuations. Bigger water volume is always better<br />
when it comes to accurately replicating a slice of natural coral reef.<br />
