becomes evident upon re-exposure to this material.
Ingestion: Swallowing small amounts of this material during normal handling is not likely to cause
harmful effects. Swallowing large amounts may be harmful. Citric acid may cause gastrointestinal
irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Excessive intake of citric acid may cause erosion of
the teeth.
Inhalation: Citric acid causes respiratory tract irritation.
Chronic: Repeated exposure may cause sensitization dermatitis.
Section 3 - Composition, Information on Ingredients
Chemical Name: Citric acid
CAS#: 77-92-9
Extinguishing Media: Use water spray, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or chemical foam. Use agent
most appropriate to extinguish fire. Do NOT get water inside containers.
