won Sectionals, which qualified the team for State.
They placed 4th overall in State; the best boy’s golf team
finish in the school’s history. Ricky Costello ‘17 placed
6th overall. Alyssa Gromala ‘17, member of the girl’s
golf team, placed 3rd at Regionals, tied for 8th place
Harvest Drive Brings out the “Fun” in Fundraising
Providence Catholic concluded its Annual Fall Harvest Drive in
late September. Through the hard work of students, parents,
teachers and patrons who supported the school, this year’s Fall
Harvest Drive generated more than $375,000. To celebrate this
success, the entire student body enjoyed the traditional spiritfilled
Harvest Drive Olympics at the conclusion of this drive.
Several events took place, including dodge ball, tug-ofwar
and an obstacle course. The Olympics concluded
with the annual pie-in-the-face-of-a-faculty-member;
this year’s volunteer target was Mrs. Pat Foster, Dean of
Students.
The Class of 2016 rose to their feet to support their fellow
classmates as they competed in the dodge ball event.
siblings were the Stolarek family (senior Daniel and freshman
Cassidy) of Frankfort who raised $2,000. Following the Olympic
celebration, Fr. Richard McGrath, OSA, President, drew eleven
raffle tickets and named the $10,000 Grand Prize winner along
with 10 other winning tickets totaling $5,000. All top-sellers and
raffle winners are posted on the Harvest Drive page of the PCHS
