HA PPENINGS
On the 28th October we had the privilege of attending the Quarterly Business Review after Ray Garnie's All-Hands. In
true style we went along with the Cape Town Sales Team to celebrate their hard work and the achievements of Q2.
WOW, what a spectacular event!! We have some truly hardworking and talented individuals at Symantec, they even
sang a jingle about SSL certificates!!! With Roxane and Charlene amongst the guests of honour it was definitely a night
to remember. We look forward to many more QBR Dinners!!! The venue was the legendary Mount Nelson Hotel set in
sprawling lush private gardens with Table Mountain as a backdrop. Famous for its afternoon tea, its wartime legends
and its pink exterior, the Mount Nelson Hotel has always kept her standards high. 'The Nellie' as she is affectionately
known has hosted an array of royal celebrities, world leaders, and artistic greats. But the legends of ?The Nellie?are not
confined to wartime any longer so there?s always a good chance you?ll run into someone really famous in the
champagne bar...
"Braai" is the South African variant of the barbecue. It is technically different from
barbecuing in that the wood fire is fed for several hours and then allowed to burn down. The
food is then cooked over the red-hot embers.
Eg: Come to Jeff's place man, he's having a *lekker braai!
