point. Scutellum yellow-tipped.<br />
Bronze Shieldbug<br />
Troilus luridus<br />
Brownish with metallic reflections, yellow<br />
banded antennae and blunt shoulder<br />
projections. Scutellum not tipped yellow.<br />

Dark with yellow-banded legs and pale<br />
central line on pronotum.<br />

Dark, red or brown never green. Chequered<br />

scutellum. Ground colour sandy with<br />
variable brown or pinkish stripes.<br />
Dock Bug<br />
Coreus marginatus<br />
A large reddish brown bug. Abdomen oval<br />
broadly rounded beyond wings. Antennae<br />
long with last segment thicker.<br />
The Scarab Bug, Thyreocoris scarabaeoides,<br />
is a tiny beetle-like species, known from just<br />
a few dune sites in Wexford and Waterford.<br />
