In-Situ, with an experimental edge to inquiries, works with other artists, activists, community groups, young people, organisations, individuals, and professionals across disciplines. Regular ‘In-Conversation’ events encourage interaction with invited guests including international and local artists, together with experts from around the world to debate, and share understandings of socially engaged and collaborative art practice. The annual callout for artists through the ‘In-Residency’ programme is an opportunity for international and local artists to engage directly with the people, place, and environment of Pendle. In-Situ activates empty spaces through events and happenings transforming the unused into temporary autonomous zones (TAZ). Emerging talent of all ages is supported, mentored, and showcased, with a growing number of volunteers and paid internships adding to the collective energy of the organisation.
