Trademark Law Treaty
Ratification by the Republic of Turkey
Notification has been received from WIPO of the deposit by the Government of the
Republic of Turkey, on 1 October 2004, of its instrument of ratification of the Trademark
Law Treaty (TLT), done at Geneva on 27 October 1994.
The Trademark Law Treaty will enter into force, with respect to the Republic of Turkey, on
1 January 2005.
Lisbon Agreement for the Protection of Appellations of
Origin and their International Registration
Accession by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
Notification has been received from WIPO of the deposit by the Government of the
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, on 4 October 2004, of its instrument of accession
to the Lisbon Agreement for the Protection of Appellations of Origin and their International
Registration of 31 October 1958, as revised at Stockholm on 14 July 1967, and amended
on 28 September 1979.
The said agreement will enter into force, with respect to the Democratic People’s Republic
of Korea, on 4 January 2005.
The Hague Agreement Concerning the International
Registration of Industrial Designs
Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International Registration of
Industrial Designs
Ratification by the Republic of Turkey
On 1 October 2004, the Government of the Republic of Turkey deposited its instrument of
ratification of the Geneva Act of the Hague Agreement Concerning the International
Registration of Industrial Designs, adopted at Geneva on 2 July 1999 (the AGeneva Act@).
The Geneva Act will enter into force in respect of the Republic of Turkey, on 1 January
2005.
