Happy Holidays and Cheer; Wishes
for a Safe and Happy New Year!
Look but you will not find a more
beautiful place to celebrate the
holidays than our neighborhood
here in Back Bay. From the majestic
Christmas tree on the Boston Common
to the holly and fur decorations that
adorn our stunning brownstones, the
symbols of the season are all around
us.
But the true spirit of the holidays can
be found in each of us. Here at Fisher
College, that spirit is reflected by our
students. Our students are tasked with
the responsibilities that come with
pursuing higher education and yet,
they are giving of themselves in ways
that truly inspire. From volunteering
their time to assist military families at
Fisher House Boston, to cleaning up our
nearby parks and green spaces, our
students have strived to build a better
community in which to work and live.
This spirit of giving is not only
seasonal. It is a spirit that is carried
throughout the year. I admire our
students and the mentorship provided
by our dedicated faculty and staff.
On behalf of Fisher College, I wish you
all a Merry Christmas, a Happy
Holiday, and a peaceful New Year.

Notice: Parking
Meter Restrictions
In an effort to assist students as they
move back into the Residence Halls, Fisher
College has secured 15 parking meters
located between 102-118 Beacon Street.
The meters will be restricted for use by
Fisher College students on January 17 and
January 18 from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

A November to Remember at Fisher
The month of November found considerable activity
on campus. Whether it was the students volunteering
their time for families in need, appreciation for
the veterans who have served this country, or the
Fisher Falcons competing for a National title in
men’s and women’s soccer, a month devoted for
giving thanks certainly left a positive impression.
Veterans who served among the Fisher faculty and staff
were recognized during the annual Veterans' Day
luncheon held at the College. The Fisher faculty and
staff were joined by city and state officials as they were
honored for their service.
The 2015 men’s and women’s soccer teams, pictured
above, both earned a spot in the NAIA National Championship
playoff round, held in Gwinnett, Georgia, November
11. Although both teams were eliminated from tournament
play, they made history as the first Fisher soccer teams
ever to make the playoffs.
Falcons weren’t just talking turkey-- Thanksgiving
baskets were collected and donated to local families in
need.

symposium held November 18, which focused
on supporting veterans and their families as
they return from deployment and transition to
civilian life.
