FRESHMAN (2015)<br />

Earned second team All-Mountain West honors … After missing the<br />

first three games of the season to redshirt, started in each of the final<br />

nine games at free safety … Posted 58 tackles, six interceptions, six<br />

passes defended and 0.5 TFL in the regular season … Ranked tied<br />

for first in the nation in interceptions per game (0.67), while his<br />

six interceptions second in the Mountain West and tied for fifth in<br />

FBS … Became the first player to intercept six passes in a season at<br />

Nevada since Joe Garcia in 2006 … Tallied two interceptions and<br />

10 tackles in his first career start in Nevada’s win at Buffalo, earning<br />

MW Defensive Player of the Week honors … Matched a MW record<br />

with three interceptions in Nevada’s win at Fresno State, becoming<br />

the ninth player in MW history to intercept three passes in a single<br />

game while earning MW Defensive Player of the Week honors …<br />

His three interceptions at Fresno State were the most interceptions<br />

in a single game for Nevada since Greg Grouwinkel picked off four<br />

passes against Portland State on Sept. 28, 1974 … Also recorded<br />

an interception against UNLV … Tallied a season-high 10 tackles<br />

in a win at Buffalo and an overtime win against San Jose State …<br />

Ranked fourth on the team in tackles (58) in the regular season<br />

despite missing the first three games of the season … Was the only<br />

freshman in FBS with at least six interceptions on the year … Was<br />

one of three freshmen to be named to the All-MW first or second<br />

team … One of three true freshmen on the team to see playing<br />

time.<br />

Graduate from Palmdale High School … Was a two-sport athlete for<br />

the Falcons, earning letters in football and track and field … Earned<br />

All-CIF honors as a running back … Named the MVP of the Golden<br />

League and his team.<br />
