JOIN US FOR A CELEBRATION!!!<br />

I would like to invite all of you to join me at this year’s OAFP Annual Scientific Assembly located in the beautiful Renaissance<br />

Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center on June 14-17. The conference will be filled with educational opportunities commencing at<br />

1:30 pm on Thursday, June 14 th with the lecture series entitled “Getting Paid for Doing the Right Things: How to Get Paid for<br />

Preventive Medicine”. This will be followed by the Family Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall.<br />

Friday’s sessions begin with a continental breakfast followed by several clinically relevant topics of great importance to the practicing<br />

family physician. While we are attending the symposium our loved ones will be attending an array of activities including a<br />

spouse’s <strong>visit</strong> to the Stock Pot Gourmet Kitchen & Supply Pantry while the Children will enjoy bowling, Bounce-U and a <strong>visit</strong> to<br />

the <strong>Oklahoma</strong> Aquarium. The evening culminates with the ever so popular family dinner at Incredible Pizza.<br />

Saturday kicks off with the Harl and Bettye Stokes Fellowship Prayer Breakfast which is succeeded by another fabulous array of<br />

lectures. Our families will enjoy this day with a beading work shop, massages, and <strong>visit</strong>s to the Tulsa Zoo and Laser Quest. The<br />

President’s Reception & Dinner will begin at 6:30 pm.<br />

On Sunday the morning begins with the Bingo Brunch. This year the SAM Group Learning Sessions will be on Sunday at the<br />

OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center beginning at 8:00 am with Hypertension and at 1:00 pm with Childhood Illness.<br />

The OAFP staff, Scientific Assembly Committee, and I look forward to seeing all of you June 14-17 th !<br />

GUEST & CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS...<br />

Spouses and the older children will enjoy a chef demonstration luncheon at the Stock Pot Gourmet Kitchen & Supply Pantry,<br />

personal chair massages, a beading workshop and more! Saturday evening will find us in the company of friends, both old and<br />

new, as new officers are inducted and those individuals who have made a significant contribution to family medicine are<br />

recognized. Later the children will join us for live music, dessert and dancing!<br />

Children’s Program<br />

OAFP Camp for Kids staffed by our Choice CME Partner, Cornerstone Hospice!<br />

Infants and children up to 4 years of age will enjoy fun and games at the Renaissance Hotel on Friday and Saturday.<br />

Children 5 – 15 years of age will enjoy two fun filled days of activities including Laser Quest, Bowling, Bounce-U, movies and<br />

more.<br />

Friday night’s All Family Fun Night is always a big hit with the ever popular “Incredible Pizza”!<br />

On Saturday night the children will complete their day of fun by joining their parents for live music, dessert and dancing at the<br />

President’s Dinner.<br />

On Sunday morning join us for Bingo and our Family Fun Farewell Brunch.
