Fit For a king
Doctor Who star David Tennant (above) sent
critics into a spin in 2013 when he performed
the title role in Richard II in Stratford-upon-
Avon. You can catch him, too, as the Royal
Shakespeare Company’s artistic director,
Gregory Doran, directs him at the Barbican
(7-22 Jan). It is one of four of Shakespeare’s
plays being performed to mark the 400th
anniversary of the playwright’s death,
which include Henry V.
