This was a shot of the Perito Moreno glacier at the Argentinian
Patagonia. My wife and I had twice been to this glacier, and even
trekked on it, hoping to catch a live shot of the glacier breaking. For
a casual traveller, it is very difficult to capture the moment of glacier
breaking with their camera, since it always happens when you are least
expecting it. Finally, on our last day at this place, we were lucky to witness
it. It was almost 6 PM and the gates to the national park were about to
close. I was focusing the camera to take photos of birds nearby and voila,
the glacier started breaking and it was exactly in the direction my lens
was pointing.
