In late 1981,<br />
Joyce Benson, a top professional golfer on the LPGA tour asked her husband RC if his company, Aloe Labs,<br />
could create a sunscreen for her and the other players on the tour. RC owned an aloe farm and manufacturing<br />
facility in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas which farmed aloe vera plants and then processed and<br />
manufactured moisturizers, juices and gels. Joyce loved the non-greasy feel of the aloe based moisturizers they<br />
currently made and wondered if they could duplicate that feel in a sunscreen for her to use while playing.<br />
The chemists went to work and developed a sunscreen formula using a generous base of pure aloe vera gel,<br />
sunscreens and sunblocks and waterproofing agents. They formulated an SPF 20 lotion sunscreen and an SPF<br />
15 lip balm. Joyce and several other tour players tested the two products on the golf course and were amazed<br />
by the results.<br />

sunburned and it wasn’t greasy on my hands or face. It feels like I don’t<br />

The outstanding performance of the sunscreen forced RC into action. “We had a formula that was better than<br />

OVER the last 27 years, I have been asked the same question over and over. “Why does Aloe Up work so much better than other<br />
brands?” My answer is always the same — “It’s the Aloe Vera Gel.” We grow our own Aloe on 600 acres in Harlingen, Texas. The<br />
strain we grow is the Aloe Barbadensis Lenny Miller which is the best type for cosmetic and food grade uses. Most sunscreens and<br />
moisturizers are based with water or mineral oil and a manufacturer may put a drop or two of Aloe Vera in there for marketing<br />
purposes. A drop or two won’t do the trick. If you don’t put in at least 20% by volume of pure Aloe Vera Gel, you will not get the<br />
true benefits of Aloe Vera Gel. Aloe Up starts with the most effective Aloe and uses at least 35-96.9% in each product we produce.<br />

HOW TO USE ALOE UP<br />
3 simple steps to ensure a safe day in the sun.
1. BEFORE YOU GO IN THE SUN (MOST IMPORTANT STEP)<br />
• First thing in the morning, apply Aloe Up SPF 30 or 50 lotion all over.<br />
• Wait 30 minutes before you go in the water or sun.<br />
• The first application of SPF LOTION is the most important because it will soak into your skin and bond,<br />
which will prevent sunburn. It provides the perfect base coat of sunscreen for the day.<br />
2. DURING THE DAY (REAPPLY)<br />
• Reapply SPF 15, 30 or 50 lotions or spray products every 2 hours while in the sun.<br />
• Wait 15 minutes before going back in the water so Aloe Up can penetrate your skin and bond.<br />
3. AFTER THE DAY IS OVER (DO THIS EVERY NIGHT)<br />
• After you shower, apply generous amounts of Aloe Ice all over.<br />
• Repeat before bed.<br />
• This final application is very important. Do not skip this step.<br />
