Transfers innerhalb des Nicht­Schengen Bereichs). Beim Transfer von Schengen nach
Nicht­Schengen­Ländern und umgekehrt passieren Sie eine Passkontrolle. Sollten Sie aus
einem Nicht­Schengen­Land an einem Pier ankommen, und Ihr Weiterflug nach einem
Nicht­Schengenland bei einem Gate des anderen Piers abgefertigt werden, benutzen Sie
bitte den Bustransfer.
The Schengen Accord came into force at Austrian airports on 1.12.1997. From this date on,
the Schengen Accord has applied to the following Eu member states (see left page). There
are no passport controls for persons at the borders between these states. Eu countries in
which the Schengen Accord has not been implemented are still subject to passport controls,
as are all non­Eu countries.
All Eu countries are treated equally with regards to customs controls.
Handling Facilities for Schengen:
C 31 – C 75, B 24 – B 42, bus arrival West
Facilities for non­Schengen states:
D 21 – D 70, bus arrival East, in exceptional cases C 35 – C 41

1. Find out gate number for your connecting flight.
Always remember to find out the gate number for your connecting flight. Compare the gate
number with the information on the flight information monitors.
2. Follow the guide system to your gate.
If you still do not have your boarding pass for your second flight, please contact the next
service center or the airline staff at one of the gates.
3. Transfer Routes at Vienna International Airport
If you are transferring within the Schengen area, the gate for your second flight will usually
be very close. (This also applies to transfers for non­Schengen states.)
If you are transferring from Schengen to a non­Schengen state and vice­versa you will
pass through passport control. If you arrive at a Pier from a non­Schengen state and your
second flight to a non­Schengen state is leaving from a gate at the other Pier, please use
the bus transfer.
