“My denial broke at the age of 30 and it shattered
my world. ChildSafe helped me pick up the pieces
and make sense of my experience. With its help I
was able to rearrange my thinking and create a
better life for myself and my family.”
The Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation awarded ChildSafe
with a $5,000 grant. This grant assists ChildSafe in
providing therapy for victims of sexual abuse.
The PVH Foundation is proud to help ChildSafe tackle this
all-too-present need in our community.
ChildSafe provides Northern Colorado with individual,
group, and family therapy to sexually abused children and
their non-offending family members. They also provide
therapy to adults molested as children. They coordinate
services with law enforcement, child protection agencies,
schools, medical professionals, and other mental health
providers.
Strength through generosity
ChildSafe mission:
Repair the damage done to victims and their families
Reduce the risk of re-victimization
Prevent the cycle of abuse from carrying over into future
generations
Healing through generosity
The Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation awarded Catholic
Charities with a $7,000 grant. This grant helps Catholic
Charities serve 227 Larimer County residents with
prescription assistance.
With this grant, the PVH Foundation funded
nearly 70% of this annual need.
Each year the Catholic Charities regional ministry in Larimer
County provides prescription assistance to 325 low-income
residents. Without this assistance, these people are unable
to pay for critical prescriptions.
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Denver provides
service to people at every stage of life; they are committed
to providing compassion, healing, and hope for the poor
and those in need throughout Northern Colorado.
The Larimer County ministry serves thousands of people
each year regardless of age, faith, race, or social status.
Their mission is “to provide basic services to families and
individuals in need, to join with the community, to solve
social problems and issues, and to work toward systemic
change so that justice is attained.”
