Congratulations Health
Excellence Awards winners
Our Health Excellence Awards were celebrated on 3 December at
the Auckland War Memorial Museum Events Centre. The annual
award ceremony - comprised of five categories - celebrates the
work of our people who are developing innovative ways of
delivering healthcare services, supporting our community to be
healthy, or undertaking cutting edge research that benefits the
health and wellbeing of both staff and the patients we care for.
“The awards are a great opportunity for us to celebrate and share
new ideas to work smarter, improve systems and processes, offer
better clinical care, and take a fresh look at workplace design and
flow,” said Auckland DHB’s Chief Executive, Ailsa Claire.
Auckland DHB Chair Dr Lester Levy said it was impressive to see
projects where noticeable improvements are being made to the
quality, safety and patient experience and in many cases, with
the added bonus of saving time and money. These Awards do
not just recognise the ‘big budget’ projects, as it can often be
some of the smallest changes that have the most significant
impact.
