The UEFA Futsal EURO has gone from<br />
strength to strength in recent final<br />
tournaments and we anticipate more<br />
excitement and drama at the <strong>2016</strong><br />
finals at the Arena of Belgrade.<br />
The competition in Antwerp two<br />
years ago not only saw Italy bring<br />
an end to Spain’s recent monopoly<br />
of futsal at European international<br />
level, but also witnessed pace and skill<br />
that contributed to a growing global<br />
audience, while inspiring many to get<br />
involved in the game at grassroots level.<br />
If the exhilarating conclusion to the<br />
qualifying rounds and the play-offs are<br />
anything to go by, we will have a similar<br />
standard of action in Serbia, which was<br />
a successful host of the UEFA European<br />
Under-17 Championship in 2011.<br />
We hope that the quality of both the<br />
sport and the spectacle will leave a<br />
lasting legacy in the country for many<br />
years to come and that we will enjoy a<br />
tournament played out in the spirit of<br />
fair play and respect.<br />

Tokom prethodnih finalnih turnira<br />
UEFA Futsal EURO je doživeo veliku<br />
ekspanziju, tako da i na prvenstvu <strong>2016</strong>.<br />
godine, u beogradskoj Areni, očekujemo<br />
nova uzbuđenja i zanimljive utakmice.<br />
Takmičenje u Antverpenu pre dve<br />
godine ne samo da je donelo trijumf<br />
Italiji i kraj španskog monopola u<br />
futsalu na evropskom nivou, već je bilo<br />
obeleženo brzim ritmom igre i sjajnom<br />
tehnikom, što je doprinelo porastu<br />
gledalaca širom sveta i istovremeno<br />
podstaklo mnoge da učestvuju u ovoj<br />
igri na bazičnom nivou.<br />
Ako je suditi po spektakularnom finišu<br />
kvalifikacija i baraža, imaćemo utakmice<br />
sličnog nivoa i u Srbiji, koja je 2011.<br />
godine bila uspešan organizator UEFA<br />
Prvenstva Evrope za igrače uzrasta do<br />
17 godina.<br />
Nadamo se da će kvalitet utakmica,<br />
kao i atmosfera na tribinama, ostaviti<br />
trajni pečat na futsal u Srbiji i da ćemo<br />
prisustvovati turniru koji će biti odigran<br />
u duhu fer pleja i poštovanja.<br />
