(From the Chairman continued from page 1)
As mentioned, the late cold weather took its toll on parts of the golf course, especially causing
winter kill on hole number 12 and a few other areas. But with Dan Winters and his staff’s
work, the golf course was in fine shape all summer. We’ve started some repairs as you’ve seen
on the ninth hole and plan to continue work into spring and summer via a new donors club
which will be announced later this month.
So 2015 was a positive year for our club. Yes, we still have challenges. Our membership
growth has come primarily in our lower revenue categories and we continue to search for ways
to grow our resident golfing members. We still need everyone’s help in recruiting new
members. Also, we have needs for repairs at the pool and to the clubhouse roof which will
require some investment. The board is researching costs and alternatives and will share more
information at the annual meeting.
Finally, a special thanks to all members who generously donated to our Employee Christmas
Fund. Our group of dedicated employees very much appreciates your generosity.
At our December Board Meeting we approved two new members, David & Sherry Beard and
Bill & Jean Childs, both Non-Resident members. Let’s all provide them with a warm welcome.
Personally, it has been a privilege to be your president and I look forward to seeing you at our
annual meeting January 31 at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse. All members are welcome and voting
packets will be mailed to stockholding members in January.
As always, I look forward to seeing you at Mimosa and want to share all the best wishes for a
healthy and happy new year. Let’s all stay warm and look forward to an early spring.
