Counter flow Traffic:<br />
• The Department of Transportation will counter flow traffic on the roads surrounding<br />
the speedway (US Highway 29, Morehead Road, Bruton Smith Boulevard, etc.) to<br />
facilitate a faster and more efficient traffic flow (traveling to and leaving the speedway) .<br />
Additional lanes will be dedicated in the direction needed, or all lanes will be converted<br />
to one way in the direction needed as traffic dictates .<br />
• US Highway 29 (front of speedway) will be counter flowed to 3 lanes in one direction<br />
and 1 lane in the lesser direction both before and after the race .<br />
• Bruton Smith Boulevard from I-85 to US Highway 29 will be counter flowed to 3 lanes<br />
in one direction and 1 lane in the lesser direction both before and after races .<br />
• Morehead Road from Harrisburg to Entrance P on speedway property will be counter<br />
flowed to all lanes in one direction both before and after the race .<br />
• Morehead Road West from US Highway 29 to Mallard Creek Road/Mallard Creek<br />
Church Road will be counter flowed to all lanes in one direction after the race .<br />
TRAM AND SHUTTLE SCHEDULE<br />
Nationwide On Your Side Ride shuttles and golf carts will be running throughout the<br />
race week with stops at various points around the speedway . Major stops are marked<br />
with signage .<br />
Nationwide On Your Side Ride golf cart service – Look for the blue-canopied<br />
On Your Side Ride golf carts, offering you transportation to and from parking areas and<br />
admission gates . The Nationwide on Your Side Ride is staffed by local volunteers who<br />
know their way around LMS and are ready to help all race fans, especially the elderly and<br />
physically challenged fans, and families with children .<br />
Bus Shuttles – The speedway operates 3 types of bus shuttle service on LMS property:<br />
• Morehead Farms, Peninsula and Rock City Campgrounds to and from the shower<br />
houses, ticket office, and souvenir row area from 7 AM – 12 Noon starting on the<br />
Monday of each race week .<br />
• Morehead Farms, Peninsula and Rock Campgrounds to and from the track from 12<br />
Noon – 12 Midnight on race and pole days .<br />
• Morehead Farms, Peninsula and Rock City Campgrounds to and from The Dirt Track<br />
during race weeks 2 hours before the event until 2 hours after the event .<br />
Nationwide On Your Side Ride tram service – A number of tram stops are located<br />
throughout the facility including Gates 2, 3, 4, 7/8, 12, 18, 26 and 30, and the tram service<br />
runs in a clockwise direction on the perimeter road between these stop-off points .<br />
These trams operate on race and qualifying days from 12 Noon until the start of the<br />
race or qualifying or until dusk .
