Technical Visits to Local Industries<br />
The Department arranged the following visits to local industries for the students:<br />
Mentorship Programme<br />
The Department continued to run the Mentorship Programme aiming at building a caring and supportive relationship<br />
between PolyU alumni, partners and friends of PolyU (as mentors) and undergraduates (as mentees) to achieve the<br />
following objectives:<br />
• To facilitate the educational, social and personal growth of mentees<br />
• To develop mentees’ fullest potential, vision and aspirations for the future<br />
• To enhance mentees’ future professional and career development<br />
• To help groom mentees to become preferred graduates<br />
• To empower mentees to face challenges in society<br />
During the last year, 72 alumni of the Department were invited to share their experience and advice to 180 final year<br />
students. A dinner gathering was held on 16 January 20<strong>15</strong> to provide a communication platform for mentors and mentees in<br />
a relaxing setting.<br />
