Heroes Extreme World Championships
Introduction :
Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships Introduction
Everyone loves a hero. Even as children, we dream of becoming known as a hero, and
saving that damsel in distress, and the world from those who seek to destroy it. This
desire is built into us all. We are inclined to believe that we are much more than the
natural try to convince us that we are. There is an inner strength and ability only left to
be discovered, and every so often we participate in events that allow us to explore this
innate possibility.
That is why the Olympics have been exciting people for generations, encouraging them
to unite as one and cheer on their country’s finest sportsmen. The Heroes Extreme
Sport World Championships will be a new kind of Olympics for extreme and more unusual
sports. The Olympics are breath taking and amazing already, but just imagine if the concept
was taken further with the heart stopping danger and skill of extreme sports!
This book is presenting the exciting proposal of a new and very exhilarating new sporting
event that will appeal to the masses, inclusive of the proposed venue it would take place
in and give interesting and informative facts about the sports that one would participate
in.
This idea is inspired from the comic book and film “Light Man” as he hosts his own World
Championships for Heroes in the fictional story that is already a graphics novel, with
infinite possibilities. Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships is making this fantasy
into reality and will be a ground breaking event sure to revolutionize sports and comic
book culture and unite the world in a new way. It will be a fantastic investment opportunity
and a big promotion for sports and the entertainment industry worldwide.

Not only this, but the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships takes on a completely
new twist for a sporting event. It will bring the totally unique concept of combining
comic book culture and film fantasy superheroes with real life sport champions! Just
imagine the Olympics combined with a mega comic con with the people attending
dressed as their favourite super hero.
The specially built home arena called the “Infinity Light Arena” will be a magnificent
versatile sports venue but it will also have a section where people can buy and sell
comics, DVDs, videogames and watch their favourite superhero films on the big
screen. People can enjoy the best of the most exciting and thrilling sports on the planet
while also indulge in comic and film fandom! The message of how the everyday person
can become a hero will be the central theme of the event to positively encourage a new
generation.
Like the Olympics, this amazing sporting event will be intended to continue every four
years with both winter and summer events. The goal is to start the qualification program
from 2016 and the grand opening of the actual event taking place in early spring
of 2020. This first big event will take place mostly in California and Las Vegas, where
the Infinity Light Arena will be based. As many events as possible will take place inside
the Infinity Light Arena however, due to the nature of some of the extreme sports,
there will be different locations needed, for example cliff diving and sailing.
For the first few Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships, the event will stay at
the Infinity light Arena but in the future, the location will change for both the summer
and winter games just like the Olympics so it can be fairly represented throughout the
world.
Both the winter and summer events will have 29 specially selected disciplines each.
The Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships will take place for 29 days, one day
for each discipline with world coverage 24/7.

There are some absolutely stunning medals carefully crafted and designed to the highest
standard for the winners of the 29 categories of the Heroes Extreme Sport World
Championships. Like in the Olympics, there are the gold, silver and bronze metals representing
first, second and third place for each category.
The metals are attached to beautiful red and white stripped ribbons with white stars
imprinted on the red outer edge. Each metal is shaped in a symbolic star with 3D beveled
edges coming up in the centre with a circle in the centre showing the number of the
place, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Around the number is inscribed “Heroes Extreme Sport World
Championships “ in a symbolically crafted logo that is then repeated around the outer
edges of the circle and the star shape.
The Logo is a golden hue, the colour of light and the heroes. It is in a circular shape to
represent eternity of life, love and light. There is an outer circle and inner circle. Between
the two circles is the title “Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships” and the
abbreviation H.E.S.W.C. Inside the inner circle in the centre there are five golden stars,
two rows with 3 on top and two on bottom. The stars represent not only the Olympic
rings but the five stars closest to the Earth, the Sun, Proxima Centauri, Alpha Centauri
A, Alpha Centauri B, and Barnard’s Star Nr 3.
The opening ceremony itself will be a dazzling event to rival any previous opening ceremonies
before. Three special celebrity athletes will take the role of Light Man, Light
Woman and AH God of the Heroes, dressed in the costumes of the heroes that inspired
this amazing event. They will triumphantly emerge, carrying a torch like in the Olympics
and light a massive cauldron full of fire. The torch will be a mixture of silver and gold
coloured metals. It will have a gold colour symbolic wings projected from the silver cup
that will hold the flame. Down the centre of the handle to say “Heroes Extreme Sport
World Championships.” The torch will be a symbol of light, and love.
The opening ceremony will begin with an official theme song, “The Heroes Song” created
especially for the event and sung by world famous musicians to be decided. The
athletes will come out as the heroes of the nations, dressed in superhero costumes and
parade in the main stadium, waving their country’s flag. The sound of Tibetan gongs will
ceremoniously ring and resonate throughout the building.

Heroes Extreme Wrestling WWE
WWE is the perfect sport for the Heroes Extreme Sports World Championships as it all ready
brings the costumes and fantasy alongside of sport. Prepared to be pumped as your favourite
heroes wrestle for the championships! This event will take place in the Infinity Light Arena.
The History of WWE as told from the official WWE Website:
The history of WWE dates back to the early 1950s when it was founded by Jess McMahon and Toots
Mondt in 1952 as Capitol Wrestling Corporation (CWC). It underwent numerous name changes
throughout the years, from World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) to World Wrestling Federation
(WWF) to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), and finally to simply WWE in 2011.
WWE is the largest professional wrestling company in the world. It has promoted some of the
most successful wrestlers and storylines, and featured some of the most iconic and significant
matches and moments in the history of the sport
WWE changes the sport in the 80’s from just men competing in wrestling to a theatrical spectacle.
In 1982 Mr. McMahon takes over the family business from his father, Vincent J. McMahon. His purchase
of Capitol Wrestling marks the beginning of a revolution. Mr. McMahon builds on the regional
success of his father’s company, with soon-to-be household names such as Andre the Giant, Hulk
Hogan and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, turning WWE into a national powerhouse.
Hulk Hogan becomes the first person to escape the Camel Clutch before blasting The Iron Sheik
with his signature leg drop to win the WWE Championship. From the moment the official counts
three, The Hulkster emerges as the standard bearer of WWE.
WWE currently airs several high-profile programs such as Raw and SmackDown in more than 150
countries, hosts 12 pay-per-view events a year including WrestleMania, and holds approximately
320 live events a year throughout the world.
Every year the WWE holds the World Heavyweight Championship. It is widely recognized as the
most historic championship in WWE.
Dating back to 1963, the WWE Championship was first awarded to Buddy Rogers after he defeated
Antonino Rocca in the finals of a tournament in April. Since that time, the biggest names in the
business have held the title, including Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino, Andre the Giant, Bret Hart,
The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

Rules of Pro(WWE) Wrestling as explained on the how stuff works website:
The most important thing to know about the rules of professional wrestling is that they can
be changed, disregarded, made up on the spot or broken at any time. As long as the referee is
looking the other way (and it seems like he always is), anything goes. There are a few general
guidelines, though. For example, most matches have a time limit of 20 minutes.
The standard way to win a match is by pinfall. You might hear a match described as “one-fall” or
“three-fall.” A one-fall means that whoever has their shoulders pinned to the mat for a count of
three loses the match. A three-fall is the best two out of three.
Wrestlers can also lose by submission. This happens when their opponent puts them in a submission
hold, a maneuver that locks the other wrestler into a painful position. Eventually, he or
she will signal to the referee that the pain is too great, and they simply give up. A wrestler who is
rendered unconscious (by a sleeper hold, for example) is assumed to have given up.
Sometimes, wrestlers are disqualified (DQed). This is a grey area -- there are plenty of rules
for disqualifications, such as standing outside the ring for too long, using a foreign object, or
receiving help from another wrestler. In some cases, a DQ is not considered a loss. The match
ends without any proper resolution. For example, sometimes a heel with a championship belt will
intentionally get DQed if it looks like he might lose the match. The DQ means he didn’t technically
lose, so he keeps the belt.
You might notice some wrestlers put an arm or leg onto the rope when they are pinned, forcing
the ref to stop counting. This is an old rule in which any hold or pin must be broken immediately if
the opponent manages to get some part of his or her body onto the rope.
Tag team matches have their own set of rules, but most wrestlers abuse and disregard them. A
tag team match pits a pair of wrestlers against another pair (or even three-on-three). Only one
wrestler from each team is supposed to be in the ring at the same time, and this wrestler is the
only one who can legally pin the opponent for a pinfall victory. Teammates must tag each other’s
hands to switch to a new wrestler in the ring, with ten seconds to make the change.
Heroes Extreme Strongest Man
The perfect sport to display fantastic feats of strength, the World’s strongest Man competition
will be a highlight of the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships! Be prepared to be impressed
with human endurance taken to new levels with this incredible competition. This event
will be held in the infinity Light Arena.
History of the World’s Strongest Man Competition:
Back in 1977, after years of debate over whom was ‘the strongest’, the idea of the World’s
Strongest Man competition was born, pitting the best strength athletes against each other, in a
variety of testing disciplines. However, the one thing the competition was missing… the athletes
we now call ‘strongmen’. In order to tackle this, a special invitation was given to a number of
weightlifters, arm wrestlers, shot putters and power lifters to battle it out through a series of
different kind of strength tests and become the first World’s Strongest Man.
The first ever WSM contest is held in Universal Studios, California. Bruce Wilhelm wins the first
of his two victories and is crowned the first ever World’s Strongest Man. Ever since then, World
Strongest Man competitions have been happening every year. (WSM website)
What it takes to win the title according to the WSM website:
The World’s Strongest Man competition is about more than just force: it is about stamina, skill,
tactics, training and strategy. Every event below is designed to push the Strongmen to their
absolute limits, challenging not only their physical strength, but their agility and mental toughness
too. There is a variety of 16 events that every competing strong man must compete in to
win the title of the World’s Strongest Man. Events include:
The Arm Over Arm Pull
The Atlas Stones
The Keg Toss
The Carry and Drag (Anchors!)
The Farmer’s Walk
The Fingal’s Fingers
The Fridge Carry
The Giant Dumbbell press
The Giant Log Lift
The Husafell Stone
The Loading Race
The Overhead Log Lift
The Pillars Of Hercules
The Power Stairs
The Squat Lift
The Vehicle Pull
Detailed descriptions of each of these fascinating and very challenging events are on the WSM
website.

The World’s Strongest Current Man: Žydronas Savickas
He lives by the mantra: “Every year I try to be stronger than last year…”
And every year he succeeds. We’re talking, of course, about 2014’s champion Žydronas Savickas.
A Strongman so iconic that he is often referred to only by his nickname… Big Z.
Standing tall at 6’3”, and with a competition weight of 375lbs, Big Z has certainly earned his
nickname. Legend is not a term we use lightly here at WSM, but he is definitely a legend for our
times in the world of strength training.
It was in Lithuania, Big Z’s home country, where he first saw a Strongman contest on TV as a
child. This inspired him to eventually begin strength training and powerlifting. Whilst competing
in his second powerlifting contest he smashed all pre-existing Lithuanian records. By 1998,
he had won the title of Lithuania’s Strongest Man and he remains one of the only modern-day
Strongmen to have won every major competition throughout the world, including the WSM title
four times (2009, 2010, 2012, 2014).
Big Z’s training routine is grueling, spread over six days every week and each of those days
comprising two hours in the gym, and a further three focused on event training. He even has a
space 100km outside of the Lithuanian capital where he can train with extra large objects for
contests, such as tyres, logs, and vehicles.
All of this training has paid off for Big Z, not only in terms of titles (of which he has racked up
well over 50) but in records, too. His personal Squat record is 937lbs (425kgs), he can Bench
Press 600lbs (270kgs) and he can Deadlift 898lbs (407.5kgs). (WSM website)
Hero Extreme Sumo Wrestling
Sumo Wrestling is one of the exciting 29 disciplines chosen for summer World Championships
for Heroes. This event would take place in the Infinity Arena, Las Vegas, CA.
Expect the stakes to be raised as Sumo goes to new extremes in this championship!
A Brief History of Sumo:
Historians agree that the origins of sumo date back 2000 years; however, it never really
flourished as a spectator sport until the early 1600’s. Like any other social group in Japan,
there are strict rules and traditions that are observed throughout the sport. The beginner
watching his first sumo broadcast on television soon realizes that very little time is actually
spent grappling. Rather, the rikishi spend most of their time performing pre-bout ceremonies
steeped in Shinto tradition.
Shinto is the native religion of Japan and is more a set of rituals and ceremonies than a
system of beliefs or a definite code of ethics. The word itself means “way of the gods.”
Sumo was originally performed to entertain the gods (kami) during festivals (matsuri).
Sumo as part of Shinto ritual dates as far back as the Tumulus period (250-552), but it
wasn’t until the 17th century that it began adopting the intense purification rituals that we
see in sumo today.
Presently, sumo consists of six major tournaments a year called hon-basho. The tournament
months and sites are as follows: January-Tokyo, March-Osaka, May-Tokyo, July-Nagoya,
September-Tokyo, and November-Fukuoka. Up through the early 20th century,
there were only two basho a year; however, as sumo’s popularity grew, the number
of major tournaments increased to four basho a year and then in 1958, the current sixbasho-a-year
format was established. Also, up until 1949 a basho only lasted for 10 days;
currently a basho runs for 15 days. In between basho, the rikishi constantly keep busy by
touring the outskirts of Japan giving exhibitions for fans who might otherwise not get a
chance to see the sport up close and live. This touring is called jungyo, and while the rikishi
do battle each other in front of the fans, they are more concerned about avoiding injury
than winning. This type of exhibition sumo is called hana-sumo, or flower sumo. (www.
sumotalk.com)
The Rules of Sumo:
The sport of sumo has very few rules, which can result in some exciting bouts. A sumo
wrestler is called a rikishi. Sumo takes place in a ring approximately 15 feet in diameter
that is raised about 2 1/2 feet off the ground on a huge block of clay called a dohyo.

A new dohyo is created for each tournament. Five judges called shinpan dressed in black
kimono, sit below the dohyo and around the ring. These judges are former rikishi themselves.
A referee, or gyoji, dressed in an elaborate kimono stands at the edge of the ring
and officiates the bout. At the end of the bout, the gyoji points to the winner. In a particularly
close bout, any of the five judges can dispute the call made by the referee. In this
case, a conference, called a mono-ii, is held inside the ring with the gyoji and five shinpan
to discuss the match. In modern times, television instant replay is used to determine the
actual outcome of a match when in dispute.
A rikishi loses a match when any part of his body other than the bottoms of his feet touches
the dohyo or when he is pushed or thrown outside of the ring. In the middle of the ring
are two white lines called shikirisen. These lines are the starting points of each rikishi for
each bout. When a judge gives the signal for the rikishi to fight, both rikishi crouch behind
their respective shikirisen and face each other. When both rikishi place both hands
clenched in fists on or behind the shikirisen, the bout begins. The tachi-ai, or initial charge,
is extremely important in gaining the advantage and momentum over your opponent.
During the actual bout, a rikishi may use any technique or maneuver except pulling his
opponent’s hair, hitting his opponent with a closed fist, boxing his opponent’s ears, choking
his opponent (although he may push at the throat), or grabbing his opponent’s mawashi
in the crotch area. Rikishi use all sorts of techniques during the bout; however, a rikishi’s
style can usually be classified as one of two styles: oshi-zumo, or a tendency to push your
opponent out of the ring, and yotsu-zumo, a tendency to grab your opponent’s belt and
force him out of the ring. The truly best rikishi are adept at using both styles to beat their
opponents.
Hero Extreme Skateboarding
Skateboarding is one of the exciting 29 disciplines chosen for summer Heroes Extreme
Sport World Championships. This event would take place in the Infinity Arena, Las Vegas,
CA. There will be new challenges never yet achieved in this epic contest for best
skater of all time! A Brief History of Skateboarding:
Skateboarding really first started in the 1950s, when all across California surfers got the
idea of trying to surf the streets. Surfing and skating would be closely linked for decades.
These first skateboarders started with wooden boxes or boards with roller skate wheels
slapped on the bottom. Like you might imagine, a lot of people got hurt in skateboarding’s
early years! The boxes turned into planks, and eventually companies were producing
decks of pressed layers of wood -- similar to the skateboard decks of today. During
this time, skateboarding was seen as something to do for fun after surfing.
Between 1963-66 surfboard companies like Makaha and Hobie start making better-quality
skateboards with clay wheels and trucks that are made for skating. The first skate contest
is put on in Hermosa Beach, California, in 1963. This same year, ABC Wide World
of Sports broadcasts the Skateboarding Championships.
In the 70’s, with the invention of urethane wheels, new possibilities emerge. What once
was a noisy, bumpy ride is now smooth and silent. Banks and ditches become skateable,
as these new wheels can grip the concrete. From this point on, skating will never be the
same. The California drought in the 70’s forces homeowners to drain their pools and the
opportunity to skate them is grabbed by skaters. New tricks are invented daily—aerials,
inverts, and the ollie. Many concrete parks are also being built, and the first professional
skaters begin to receive notice. By the 80’s you have skateboarding reaching a golden
age with pros like Tony Hawk emerging.
Skateboarding takes a giant step into the mainstream with the 1995 ESPN’s Extreme
Games, becoming more of a spectator sport. By the late 90s, skating appears in commercials
for everything from soft drinks to phone companies. Fashion trends begin to reflect
the influence of the skating crowd.
The Rules of Skateboarding:
Skateboarding has two main areas of competition, vert (ramp skating) and street skating
(rails, ledges, stairs, etc.) There is also freestyle, which is just about doing crazy imaginative
flip tricks. All of these styles can be combined in skateboarding and will do so in the
Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships.

Skateboard judged professionally is a lot like surfing where it is all about a combination
of style, speed, difficulty, consistency, trick selection, control and originality style.
There is no set rules in skateboarding however, the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships
will probably adapt a point based system like the Street League, an international
competitive series that is the largest competition of its kind.
There are five Street League judges. Each judge has an ISX dial. They judge each trick
that is done in each section on a point based system 1.0-10.0 The highest and lowest
scores are dropped and then the middle three scores are instantly averaged to make the
trick score that is added to the running point total.
Greater reward will be given for originality, risk taking and style, thus increasing the
ability for a skater to do tricks scored 7.0 or higher as long as the trick demonstrates
these characteristics. More common, safer tricks will be scored lower on the scale.
The inclusion of originality as a factor also means that tricks repeated in different sections
will be given lower scores as they are repeated. In 2014, the goal is to take repetition
into account by including innovation in an effort to make sure a skater who does
three hard tricks can keep up with and/or beat someone who does six or seven safer
tricks in a section.
Additionally, how clean the trick is done, what kind of obstacle it’s done on, and style
will all be taken into account. (http://streetleague.com/faq/)
* Where is the sport most popular?
California, USA, but Skateboarding is now popular all over the world.
*Who are the current world champions?
Skateboarding is harder to judge a single world champion as it is judged very differently
in various competitions however some of the top and most famous current professional
skateboarders are: Tony Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Rodney Mullen, Chris Cole, and Rob
Dyrdek.
Extreme Hero Surfing
Surfing is one of the exciting 29 disciplines chosen for summer World Championships
for Heroes. This event would take place in Santa Cruz, California, the most famous
surfing hotspot on the west coast. Competitors will make sport history as they arrive
as heroes at the sandy shores and take to the waves to surf to new extremes.
*How and where did the sport start:
The famous Captain James Cook recorded the first knowledge of surfing in 1778
when he came to the Hawaiian islands. By then surfing was all ready deeply rooted in
many centuries of Hawaiian legend and culture within the Polynesian people. There is
no real way to knowing how long ago surfing was invented Hawaiians had no written
language until the white people arrived, so their history and customs were remembered
in songs and chants only. Surfing was a way for Chiefs demonstrated their skill
and dominance and was also a way commoners to make themselves famous (and infamous)
by the way they handled themselves in the ocean.
The modern history of competitive surfing begins with the International Surfing Association
(ISA) being formed and hosting the first ever World Surfing Championship in
1964 at Manly Beach, Australia.
Spearheaded by Fred Hemmings, the world’s greatest surfers in 1976 joined together
to the launch the IPS, (International Professional Surfers) the first professional surfing
world tour. From 1978 until 2002, the ISA ran the ISA World Championship every
other year. The IPS was the first pro surfing governing body and on the first year of
the tour Peter Townend of Australia was crowned as the very first pro surfing world
champion A women’s division was added in 1977 with Margo Oberg being the first
IPS Women’s World Champion.
*The basic rules of scoring for the competition:
Surfing has rounds called “heats.” The surfer that gets scored the highest in the most
heats wins. Surfing is about combining the elements of speed, style, and power and
judge must consider and evaluate all of these elements. So a surfer who rides a wave
with the most speed, control, and power in the most critical section should receive the
highest score.

Each wave is assigned a score from .5 to 10. A .5 basically means that the surfer got
to his/her feet but made no motion down the line. Simply standing up and straightening
out usually warrants a .5, however, if the conditions are heavy, and the drop is
particularly fierce, then there is some leverage here.
Initially, a judge must create a numerical base. For instance, a wave with two complete
maneuvers should be about a 5. However, the type of wave or conditions can
dictate how maneuvers are scored. For example, a wave like Pipeline is all about the
tube, so the tube should be scored much higher than anything else. In addition, point
breaks offer much longer rides, and the possibility for more maneuvers is greater;
therefore, your score must be adjusted. In this case, a wave with five or six maneuvers
might receive a 5 or 6. All conditions hold different scoring criteria for maneuvers.
For a maneuver to be scored, it must be completed. No matter how radical the
attempt, if he/she doesn’t emerge with both feet on the board and still being pushed
by the force of the wave, it doesn’t count. Scoring is not based on previous heats.
Interferences: Surfers in contests cannot catch any wave they want since that would
be a free-for-all. A heat has specific rules about who has priority. The surfer who
takes off closest to the peak has priority. At a beach break with more than one peak,
you have to pay attention to which surfer gets to his/her feet first. If a competitor
should interfere (e.g. drop in, bump boards, push over the lip of the wave, etc.) then
that surfer loses his/her highest scoring wave.Judges must see the entire ride for it to
count.
Hero Extreme Cliff Diving
An excellent and breathtaking addition to the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships,
cliff diving will be sure to impress. The event will take place in Hawaii in honour
of its birthplace.
A Brief History of Cliff Diving:
This is another sport that originates in Hawaii. It is recorded from the year 1770 on the
island of Lanai which lies between the islands Molokai and Maui. It is recorded in tradition
that the local warriors would jump off of high rocky cliffs into rough seas to prove
their courage as well as attract the ladies. In the 1800’s, the great king Kamehameha
I from dynasty Kamehameha who himself was a cliff diver, would judge the style of
the warrior’s jumps. Still to this day in Hawaii, cliff diving is a popular sport, jumping
from heights around 25 meters with the water only being about 3.5 meters deep! In the
Czech Republic was established HIGHJUMP Civic Association in 1999 (which seeks
to promote and develop adrenaline sport cliff diving in the country), which organized
the first ever Championship of the Czech Republic in Cliff diving in 2000. In 2009 Red
Bull started the world’s biggest cliff diving competitions and gave the sport world wide
attention.
Basic Rules of Cliff Diving: (From the Red Bull Cliff Diving Website)
Five judges will score each dive based on a scale of 0 to 10 in half-point increments.
Total points shall be tabulated at the scoring table according to the following. The
highest and the lowest judges’ scores will be discarded. The remaining three scores will
be added and multiplied by the degree of difficulty for that dive. This will produce the
total score for each dive. The total score of all dives performed will be added together
to produce the overall total for the competition for each diver.
Divers perform four dives from a height ranging from 26-28m, for the men, and 20-
21m, for the women. There are a total of nine groups: front, back, reverse, inward,
front twists, back twists, reverse twists, inward twists and all armstand dives. The two
required dives, for the men, must be performed from different take-off positions. There
are five take-off positions (front, back, reverse, inward and armstand). The Degree of
Difficulty for each required dive is 3.8, for the men, and 2.6, for the women. To clarify:
front double half twist and front double 1½ twist are different groups, but the same
take-off position. If a dive has less Degree of Difficulty, it will still be 3.8 (or 2.6).

Running take-offs on forward dive groups (including twists) are allowed, given there is
enough space for the approach. If the diver enters the water with his hands up on a feetfirst
entry, he can only get a maximum score of five points from each judge. Five points
would mean a perfect execution of the entire dive with the exception of the arms. If arms
are at or below shoulder height but not in alignment with the body (straight arms either
in front or on the side of the body), judges can deduct between ½ to 2 points at their discretion,
according to the degree of the mistake.
A break in position at or just before entry can have a deduction of ½ to 3 points at the
judge’s discretion. An intermediate break of position can receive no more than 4.5 points
from each judge. If a dive is done in a completely different position than announced: for
example back triple tuck instead of back triple pike, the dive can only receive a maximum
of two points.
All dives submitted in a list must consist of at least 180 degrees of rotation around a
horizontal axis.
Current World Champions of Cliff Diving as presented on the Red Bull Website:
Mens: Blake Aldridge, United Kingdom
The current World Series Champion and the winner of the title for three successive years
in 2010, 2011 and 2012, Englishman Gary Hunt is a man at the very top of his game.
Regarded as one of the most progressive divers in the sport, Hunt’s repertoire includes
the triple quad, the first dive conceived exclusively for cliff diving, which packs in three
somersaults and four twists and has a DD of 6.2 – the joint highest of any dive in the
sport.
Womans: Rachelle Simpson, USA
The 27-year-old American was a gymnast before she started high diving and was undoubtedly
the star performer in the first-ever Women’s World Series in 2014. The year
got off to a perfect start with a win at her home event in Texas and she followed that
success with victory in Norway and then made it a hat-trick of wins at the 2014 final in
Mexico to confirm her as the top athlete in her sport and a very worthy champion. Already
possessing the highest Degree of Difficulty of any of the female divers, ‘Rocco’
will be the one to catch for an ever-improving group of athletes.
Extreme Hero Street Dance
The Heroes Extreme World Championship is also about the promotion and celebration of more unusual
sports. Street Dancing is a new sport with loads of style and will add a hugely entertaining element in
the lineup. Some of the best dancers in the world will compete in one of the most physical and theatrical
forms of dance known to man. Street Dancing will take place in the Infinity Light Arena.
*History of Street Dance:
Street dance, formally known as vernacular dance, refers to dance styles—regardless of country
of origin—that evolved outside of dance studios in any available open space such as streets, dance
parties, block parties, parks, school yards, raves, and nightclubs. They are often improvisational and
social in nature, encouraging interaction and contact with spectators and other dancers.
According to nrg-streetdance.com, the true history of Hip hop reaches back to the 192O’s with Earl
Tucker “Snake Hips” who was a dancer and entertainer who performed in venues across New York. In
Tucker’s moves you can see the beginnings of waving and gliding, which are now fundamental elements
of Street dance.
“Street Dance is inextricably tied to both Hip Hop music (or rap) and graffiti. In 1973 a young Jamaican-American
DJ called “Kool Herc” arrived in the Bronx of New York and began developing the sound
that hip hop artists have embraced as “break beats”. Kool Herc began mixing and scratching the
music along with the breaks, and the singers began to speak while the music played ( These singers
are now called MC’s).
Street dance from the 1970’s onwards flourished. Across the United States from the ‘Boogie Down’
Bronx, New York to the ‘Beat Street’ corners of Compton, California, young people everywhere took
to this new style of dancing that featured the human body moving in incredible new ways with moves
that included such feats as breaking, popping, locking, gliding, ticking, vibrating and krumping. As funk
began to change, unique forms of hip hop dance started to develop.
Early on dance competitions started on the sidewalks of the US and today have developed into what
we now call “battles.” Dancers evolved into “B” boys and formed crews. Although these battles were
competitive, collaboration occurred bringing the East and West sides together. The constant need for
improvisation to create new and exciting dance steps makes Street Dance a truly fun, exciting and
inspirational experience.
Street Dance can’t really be defined. This dance style allows you to create your own way through innovation
and creativity. Street uses many genres and styles. It’s been influenced by almost every dance
that we’ve heard of and even today it continues to evolve and change.” http://www.nrg-streetdance.
Currently the biggest worldwide organisation for Street Dancing is UDO. They have hosted the Street
Dancing World Championships since 2005. As expressed on their website:
“The UDO strives to provide dancers of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and disabilities, a platform to
positively display their creativity and love for Street Dance.
As the leading organisation in street dance across the UK, Europe and the World, the UDO plans to
continue to grow and develop the art of street dance, by delivering high quality events, and teacher
and dancer development programs. We work with partner agencies and other companies to ensure we
can provide world class events and education. Our range of events are designed to allow dance to be
inclusive to all and we pride ourselves on this.”
How Street dancing is judged:
UDO describes how they judge their Street Dancing competitions: Street dancers can enter competitions
either as solo, duo or teams of at least 5 and can be as large as 25. There can also be 1v1
“Hip Hop Battles.” All dancers are also divided up into age groups as well. Solo and duo dancers have
different rules compared to team dancers. However, all dancers are judged on the following criteria:
1.Use of foundation street styles
Two points per style with up to a maximum of 10. Minimum per style is 32 counts (4 x 8)
Styles are as follows: Hip hop, House, Popping, Locking, Krump, Breaking, Waacking, Voguing
Dancehall. Originality and creativity is encouraged.
2.Execution
Quality of movement, synconicity, precision
3.Creativity
Original ideas, muiscaility, unique movement
4.Formations
Transitions, levels, use of stage
5.Performance skills
Projection, dynamics, energy, presentation
The world champions change every year and there are different champions for solo, duo, and team
dancers and also different champions in each age group.
Heroes Extreme Skyscraper Climbing
This death defying, heart racing sport of free climbing athletes that scale skyscrapers without any
ropes or support is sure to get the blood pumping at the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships.
There will be a glass and medal structure with new extreme challenges for the climbers
especially built for the Infinity Light Arena for this event.
A Brief History of Skyscraper Climbing:
Skyscraper climbing is a new and exciting extreme sport that is actually not an organised sport at
all. This is mostly because it is usually illegal to climb these structures as a civilian for recreational
purposes as it is usually considered trespassing but also it is obviously incredibly dangerous.
This is an all or nothing sort of sport with the risk of failure being death or serious injury. The
climber has to be completely confident in his or her skills.
Slowly, around the world, daredevil climbers are challenging themselves with this new form of
climbing. Going from the organic forms of the mountains, climbers turn themselves to the urban
beast that is the sky scraper. With its smooth metal and glass exterior, towering high above the
city, it could be seen as the ultimate challenge.
There are a few famous sky scraper climbers in the world all ready. American 16-year-old Justin
Casquejo made headlines when he snuck past security and scaled the World Trade Center. Vadim
Makhorov and Vitaliy Raskalov are famous Russian “roofers” who have summated iconic buildings
around the world such as the Shanghai Tower in China, the second tallest building in the world
stretching 2,073 feet into the sky. However, the most famous skyscraper climber of all is French
climber, Alain Robert, also known as the “ French Spider Man.”
At age 54, Robert has surpassed competition with his daring feats. Considering he has vertigo, the
crippling fear of heights, he has accomplished a lot! He has climbed the world’s tallest building, the
Burj Khalifa in Dubai which is a staggering 2,716.5 feet high (828 metres)! He has also scaled the
Eiffel Tower, the Sydney Opera House and the Montparnasse Tower as well as many other of the
world’s tallest skyscrapers. In February 2003, he legally climbed the 656 ft (200 metre) National
Bank of Abu Dhabi, UAE, watched by about 100,000 spectators.
In recent years it has became more frequent for Robert to be paid to scale buildings as part of
publicity efforts. In May 2003, he was paid approximately $18,000 to climb the 312 foot (95 metres)
Lloyd’s Building to promote the premiere of the movie Spider-Man on the British television channel
Sky Movies. He has won many awards and has appeared in the Guinness World Records three times
with record breaking climbs.

However, the French Spider Man is not invincible. Alain Robert has admitted to having some serious
falls in his climbing career.
On 18 January 1982, at age 19, he fell 49 feet when his anchor and rope gave way during training.
He fractured his wrists, heels and nose and underwent three operations. On the 29th September
1982, at age 20, he fell 49 feet when his rope came undone while abseiling. He was in a coma for
five days and fractured both forearms, his elbow, pelvis and nose. His elbow was also dislocated
and a nerve was damaged, leaving him partially paralyzed. He also suffered cerebral edema and
vertigo. He underwent six operations on his hands and elbow.
Also in 1993, he fell 26 feet while showing students how to rely on their legs when climbing. He
kept his hands behind his back on an easy route but lost his balance and fell headfirst, shattering
both wrists. He went into another coma and spent two months in the hospital. In 2004, he fell 6
feet when climbing a traffic light whilst posing for a photo in an interview. He landed on his elbow
and needed forty stitches. However, just one month later he climbed the world’s tallest skyscraper
at the time, Taipei 101 in China, as part of its official opening week.
“ Climbing is my passion, my philosophy of life.
Although I suffer from vertigo, although my accidents left me disabled up to 66%,
I have become the best solo climber. “
-Alain Robert
Interview with French “Spider Man” Alain Robert
Name: Alain Phillippe Robert
Weight: 50kg
Height 1.64 meters, 5’5
Birthday: 7 August 1962
1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings?
I started climbing in the year 1975. At first it was to prove to myself that I was not a loser. I
climbed my parents building where we were living, it was seven stories. Not long after I became a
boy scout and this is when I really started to climb.
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
I didn’t see climbing as a sport as 40 years ago it wasn’t. Climbing was something more adventurous
than a sport for me. I liked the idea of conquering something with the risk of death. For
me it seems to be courageous. And it seemed to have so much more added value compared with
the other sports like football and so on.
3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
The training was pretty much about climbing as much as I could. I did physical training home as
well like pull ups, pushups and many other muscle strengthening kind of exercises. Later on I

had my own climbing wall at home. I also had to be on a good diet, just healthy food to make sure I
did not gain too much weight.
4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from others?
Even though and now it may be a sport at least and for me it is more like a life style. Especially
since I have been climbing buildings most of the time illegally, so my dedication is strong. I’m am
also not competing against other people so it is different from a sport. It’s more like I am doing
what I believe in life and I’m accepting the consequences.
With the buildings I climb some may be easy and others difficult or even very difficult. It depends
on the structure. But before the buildings, I have been climbing a lot of cliffs and mountains without
any ropes at a level that nobody else did before. And I’m talking about things I did more than
20 years ago. Such as climbing the mountain La Buit Du Lezard in Buouxor Polpot in Verdon.
5. What are some of your favorite achievements?
Some of my best accomplishments in climbing skyscrapers are the Sears building in Chicago or
the Petronas in Kuala Lumpur, still the highest twin towers in the world. Both were illegal. I got
5 Guinness World Records certificates. I also got the Grand Prix of the French senate in France after
I climbed the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. I got one price from the IOC in 1991 in Poprad Slovakia after
I climbed at the time what was the hardest route ever. I got plenty of prizes : Prix de L’exploit
Sportif is one I am very proud of. I’m also in the book: Les 100 Plus Grands Sportifs De Tous Les
Temps.
“ Being a top athlete requires total concentration and some sacrifices. I have suffered a great
deal, but here’s the result. Never give up;
make your dreams come true “.
Hero Extreme Jet Ski Racing
The Hero Extreme Sports World Championships welcomes the high paced and thrilling sport of
Jet Ski Racing to the competition. The motorcycles of the sea will do battle for the quickest and
most agile rider in the world. Jet Skiing for the Hero Extreme Sports World Championships will
take place at Pismo Beach, California.
History of Jet Ski Racing:
Jet Skiing began as a new recreational sport in 1973 when Japanese company Kawasaki created
the first stand up jet skis models WSAA and WSAB. They were an instant global success as Jet
Skis offered a completely new way to enjoy water sports with the excitement of high speed. The
Jet Ski continued to evolve from its beginnings in the 70s into the sophisticated technology that
runs our modern high performance machines today.
David Wiles , a partner at South Bay Motorsports in the San Diego area, had a profound impact
on the sport and organized and put on the very first organized Jet Ski Race ever in 1977.
Riders from around the country had been chomping at the bit to compete in the brand new
recreational activity. Davis organized other dealers in the area and local clubs to bring about this
event. He met and coordinated with Bill Gray at KMC and racing was started. David had this to say
about that event:
“The first big race drew 150 boats from as far as Massachusetts. The radio station broadcast
from the race site, and a SIG alert was issued on Interstate 5, as the 8000 spectators trying to
get onto Fiesta Island caused a major traffic snarl. The race was attended by the President of
Kawasaki Heavy Industries, who declared, “This is how to sell Jet Skis!” It was magic, and those
who raced were the big part of that magic. No disputes, just pure energy and excitement”
David put on more races, some were held in Carlsbad David still hosts a Catalina run annually.
From this the sport grew and expanded. David inspired Jet Skis to be more than just a fun recreational
water sport but also a competitive global professional sport.
( as explained on http://motoractionmedia.com/)
How the Sport Works:
The International Jet Sports Boating Association or IJSBA is the organization that leads Jet Ski
racing and regulates it worldwide. The IJSBA acts as an international governing and sanctioning
body for personal watercraft racing and to foster fair competition by formulating and promoting
uniform rules and safety standards. It also promotes, organizes and supervise personal watercraft
events in a professional manner and supervises and grant affiliation to international organizations
with similar purposes and to cooperate with such organizations.

Though there are many international championships and competitions for Jet Ski racing, the IJS-
BA puts on the biggest competition world-wide to find the top Champions of the sport.
As explained on their website: “The IJSBA World Finals is the world’s premier event for all things
Personal Watercraft. Now in 2015, the 34th consecutive year of operation, the IJSBA World Finals
continues to be the unrivaled showcase of the human spirit in forms of engineering, athletic
achievement, camaraderie, and sportsmanship. This sport is a mix of human athleticism and
human innovation in engineering durable but powerful watercraft.
The World Finals is centered around the sports of Closed Course Racing and Freestyle Competition.
Closed Course Racing has a starting line of Personal Watercraft dashing towards a first turn
buoy and then navigating several laps through a buoy course.
Freestyle has individual athletes demonstrating tricks and stunts during a one or two minute
routine for a judge’s score. Professionals, Amateurs, Juniors, and Womens divisions will all bring
hundreds of athletes from more than 50 nations to compete for the title of World Champion. Only
the Olympic Games have more individual nations represented at a single venue.
Now the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships can surpass even the Olympics for this sport
with record breaking participants all fighting to be the best of the best.
Hero Extreme Downhill Mountain Biking
This is one of the sports that defines “extreme sports” as the danger and skill involved in downhill
mountain biking is awe inspiring. The Downhill Mountain Biking for the Heroe’s Extreme Sport World
Championships will take place on a Downhill MTB Trail in Idyllwild, California.
History of Mountain Biking as an official sport According to the UCI Website:
Mountain Biking was first recognised as an official sport but The Union Cycliste Internationale
(UCI). The UCI is the world governing body for the sport of cycling recognised by the International
Olympic Committee (IOC). The UCI was founded in Paris in 1900, and its headquarters are now
located at the UCI’s World Cycling Centre in Aigle, Switzerland. The Union Cycliste Internationale
(UCI)’s commitment is to lead the development of cycling as a competitive sport and activity in all
its forms, across the world.
The first mountain bike competitions were held in California (USA) in the early eighties. Since then
the discipline has grown very fast, in all aspects. The first World Championships to be officially
recognized by the UCI dates back to 1990. A World Cup was set up the following year.
Mountain biking has four specialties that include:
CROSS-COUNTRY (part of the Olympic programme)
Cross-country races are held over undulating circuits (with technical descents, forest roads,
rocky paths and obstacles) of 5 to 9 km. The race varies from 1 h 45 minutes to 2 h 30 minutes
depending on the category.
CROSS-COUNTRY MARATHON
The marathon event is a long version of cross-country held over a course of 60 to 120 km. A
special feature is that riders from all categories, from enthusiasts to professionals, race together.
The marathon event is held in a mountainous region. In contrast to the Olympic cross-country
format, the riders never pass the same point twice.
DOWNHILL
Downhill (also referred to as DHI) is a race against the clock in which the rider negotiates a succession
of fast and technical passages. The participant must demonstrate courage as well as
sharp technical and piloting skills in order to affront tree roots, banked sections, bumps, jumps
and other natural obstacles along the way. Speeds reach around 80km/h in the men’s races and
70km/h for women.
FOUR-CROSS
In four-cross (often abbreviated to “4-cross” or “4X”), four participants set off together to ride
down a track that alternates banked corners and jumps. The races are very rapid (between 30
seconds and one minute) and give rise to fierce and closely contested confrontations between

the riders. The winner is the first to cross the finish line. The four-cross races take place over
several qualifying rounds.
*Who are the current world champions?
The Current World Champions in the 3 categories in the UCI Mountain Bike Masters World Championships
are:
Cross Country: Julien ABSALON (France) Age 35
Downhill: Loic BRUNI (France) Age 21
4-Cross: Aiko GÖHLER (Germany) Age 25
*Where is the sport most popular?
This sport is popular all over the world as riders are constantly looking for new and exciting environments
to make into challenging and impressive courses.
The Hero Extreme Sport Championships will focus on extreme Downhill Mountain Biking with one
of the most difficult courses around the world featured as seen on the Red Bull Bike Site. You can
expect riders to fly down impossibly steep mountain cliffs with extra ramps, curves and obstacles
added to make the ultimate challenge. The extent that these exceptional athletes will go to prove
their skill has to be seen to be believed. The Red Bull Site is full of video clips that show just how
jaw dropping and death defying this extreme sport is.
The Infinity Light Arenas:
The Infinity Light Arenas will be a new state of the art building and like its namesake,
the arena will be shaped in a unique infinity shape that has two massive stadiums
housed within its figure of infinity shape. The stadiums will be able to hold thousands of
people. Each stadium will be able to facilitate an 800 meter track within the oval shape.
The Infinity Light Arenas will also feature a massive solar power billboard, towering
into the sky with advertisers having the advantage of having an add that can literally
be seen from across the city. This is innovation at its best because the solar powered
place and light around the arena will not use petrol.
The Infinity Light Arenas will also have dozens of retail shops, restaurants, a theatre,
a concert/performance hall and a museum dedicated to the history of extreme sports
and the Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships. It will be like a small village with
endless entertainment for all ages. Within the center of the infinity area are casino,
and one hotel for accommodation, as well as other facilities to allow a very convenient,
and entertaining stay for patrons travelling from different parts of the world to come
and view this event. There will also be a shopping center with seven magnificent levels,
facilitating numerous shops that will carry many different merchandise to create a
very unique, never-ending shopping experience known to those who have shopped on
the Las Vegas strip.
This special arena will not only be a famous architectural visual wonder that will draw
people worldwide but it will also lead the way in the latest scientific solar energy. It
will save and make hundreds and thousands by being completely powered by the sun
with solar panels being built into the design and walls of the arena itself.
Even the parking lot will make use of this exciting technology. There will also be a car
park underneath the arena for those who can appreciate a tunnel of light kind of experience.
The Infinity Light Arenas will be investing in the new “Solar Roadways” technology that
will turn all pathways, surfaces, roads, and even competition areas into solar panels
that not only collect and convert the sun’s energy but will change colour and design
on demand for every purpose. These solar panels have LED lights within them that can
work in unison to change into whatever pattern or design needed as well as generate
air conditioning and use interactive smart technology for fun and for safety.
These solar roadways have already undergone several levels of testing. This new
technology will allow everyone to have power. There will be no more power shortages,
and no more roaming power outages.
There will be less dependency on foreign oil, less pollution with a very long term advantage.
These roads will allow electric vehicles to recharge anywhere with the same
range as a gasoline vehicle. Check out http://www.solarroadways.com/intro.shtml
for more details. Collaboration with the designers of these unique solar panels is
already in discussion.
The Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships along with the Infinity Arenas will
also be a huge opportunity for investors. The way the building is designed will allow
for advertising to be exposed to levels never seen before. The arena will utilize its
design of the building being made of solar panels to also act as mass revolving billboards
that can change and circulate around the outside and inside of the arena.
The Olympics creates billions for investors and the Heroes Extreme Sport World
Championships is expected to draw even higher interest being a new and bolder take
on the Olympics with unprecedented mass appeal. Big brands like Cocoa Cola, Mc-
Donalds, Disney, Sony, Samsung, Apple, Acer, Red Bull, Nike, Reebok, Mercedes, BMW
and many more can take advantage of the unique and powerful new design that will
captivate people with stunning interactive visuals of advertising that is guaranteed to
excite. Broadcasting rights will further capitalize investors profits as well.
Future Light One - FL1 :
With the ambitious build of the Infinity Light Arena for the Heroes Extreme Sport World
Championships comes a new and exciting extreme sport: Future Light One (Future
Formula One), a new kind of car racing never seen or experienced before. Throughout
the years, car racing entrepreneurs have always sought to find a way for cars to
go faster, with minimal risk. We are thrilled by the movies that are built around this
sport, but know that if
we tried to replicate what we see on the screen, it carries of risk of damage, and
even tragedy. All that is about to change. The Future Light One (Future Formula One)
will be a highlight and history making sport as technology and sportsmanship combine
in this unique
and very futuristic way.
It is easy to envision something that has never been done before, to see the concept
in all its glory, even pen in full color what it would look like. The challenge is making
the vision a reality. Thankfully, there are many resources that are already in existence
to facilitate this. One such is the solar roadway technology. Using the solar roadway
technology, a solar race track circulating the perimeter of the Infinity Light Arena will
be built specifically for this event. The tracks will be encased inside a tunnel using the
solar roadway panels that is supported off the ground by sturdy, large columns and
intertwines above and between the parking lots, shopping center, hotel, casino, and
the general seating area within both stadiums. The full length of the track will be over
2500 meters in length.
Specially built shuttle race cars that can travel within these tunnels at very fast
speeds will be built to allow participants to travel at alarming high speeds that can
only be achieved within these tunnels. The tunnel shape will allow the new race cars
to do this in a safe and entertaining way. All racers will be contained within this solar
light tunnel and would have received ample training in how to maneuver and race in
these vehicles to assure it is a successful new extreme sport.
With this being the maiden voyage of this new sport, all the world is sure to be watching,
with that added desire top participate. Everyone loves when there is someone or
an entity who is bold enough to make the impossible a reality.

14

Once Future Light One ( Future Formula One) has proved itself at the Heroes Extreme
Sport World Championships, it is sure to take the world by storm and tracks
will be built around the globe to accommodate this exciting new sport. More people
will catch and expand on the vision, making this event something someone would
probably travel from one end of the earth to another just to participate. This will be
a dream come true for everyone who loves to be behind the wheel of a fast car, with
the risk eliminated. Again, this will be a massive and lucrative investment opportunity
for big corporations, and individuals willing to maximize on their profits.
The Future Light One (Future Formula One) is indeed the future of car racing. Never
before as the world seen an event of this magnitude. As the event grows, and becomes
exposed, there will be a heightened interest in extreme sports that will unite
fans all over the world, opening the door to many other possibilities.
The cars, and roadways will function and be powered solely from the sun. There is
no added expense for petrol, or any other fuel or maintenance parts. It will be built
to function from a natural source eliminating expenses, and maximizing profits.
There is nothing that has ever been created or attempted that can compare to this
event. Despite our greatest efforts, we have never been able to achieve pushing
the limits of a car beyond a certain KPH. The Future Light One (Future Formula One)
will change all that. Wits and guts will be tested within the confines of an adrenaline
completion where only the strongest and the fastest will emerge as the winner.
This event is designed to stretch us to our limits in speed and skill. It will be a joy to
those who participate, and equally for those who will stand on the sidelines, or sit in
the grandstands to witness this awesome feat.
There will also be camera embedded in this tunnel in order to capture memorable
moments that will be broadcast on the television screens scattered in the arena,
and also broadcast to the world at large. We will have the opportunity to get a close,
high definition view of what is taking place in the tunnels, without missing a heartbeat.
1st Alain
Last Robert
Middle Philippe
Weight 50kg
Height 1,64
Alain Robert - French Spiderman. Discipline: Heroes Extreme Urban Climbing.
1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings?
Did start climbing year 1975. At 1st to prove to myself that I was not a loser I did climb my parents
building. 7 storeys building. Then and not long after I became a boy scout and this is when
I have really started to climb.
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
I didn’t see climbing as a sport as 40 years ago it wasn’t. Was much more something adventurous.
I did like the idea to conquer something with that possibility of life and death. For me it
seems to be be courageous. And added value compare with the other sports like football and
so on.
3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
Abt training it was pretty much abt climbing as much as I could. Training home aswell. Like pull
up, push ups and many kind of exercices. Later on having your own climbing wall at home.
4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from others?
Eventhough and now it may be a sport at least and for me it is apart from being a sport. More
like a life style. Espacially since I have been climbing some buildings most of the time illegaly.
I’m bot competing against other people. I do my stuff and I’m assuming the consequences.
37

About buildings some may be easy and others difficult or even very difficult. It depends on the
structure. But for doing that I have been climbing a lot of clifs with no rope. At that time at a
level that nobody else did before. And I’m talking abt things I did more than 20 years ago. Such
as climbing La buit du lezard in buoux 8ab or Polpot in Verdon.
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how did you
overcome it? Talking abt building some of my best accomplishements are the sears in Chicago
or the Petronas in Kuala Lumpur. Still the highest twin towers in the world. Both were illegal.
Got 5 guiness world records certificate. Got the grand prix of the french senat in france after
I did climb Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Got one price from the IOC in 91 in Poprad Slovakia after I did
climb at that time the hardest route ever and free solo.8b.
Got plenty of prizes : Prix de l’exploit sportif. I’m in the book : les 100 plus grands
sportifs de tous les temps.
6.What is the funniest/weirdest thing that has happened to you whilst doing this sport professionally?
Funny thing may be in Kuala. After being arrested by the cops. Sepending 2 days in a lock up
being received by the king at the queen from malaysia but also the french ambassador.
7.Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
I fell 7 times. Recognised by the social security 66 percent disabled.condemned by the dr not
to climb back after my 2nd fall in sept 1982. Then it gave me the envy to fight and to come back.
Will power has been the main thing.
8.Who is your real life hero and why?
I don’t have real life heroes. Or they may be people like mother theresa or sister emanuel.
9.Do you have a favourite comic book or film hero and why?
Not really. I’m far too pragmatic for having that kind of heroes from comic book.
10.What do you think about extreme and more unusual sports getting their own world championships
like the Olympics?
Why not. When something is becoming popular it seems to be the natural process. On my side
I’m good competing with myself.
1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings?
A: My name is Jorge Gomez. I am from Madrid, Spain and I live in Madrid and in Luxembourg
together with my Fiancé since 2013. I started riding BMX as a young kid of 7 years
old, when I got my first BMX for Christmas from my father. I am forever grateful for my
Dad’s gift to me.
My first competition ever was in Portugal in 1998, at the age of 17, expert classification. I
won that contest and I decided to quit secondary school and focus on riding and in competitions.
In 2001, I became a “Professsional BMX Flatland Rider”, at the age of 20, and
started to travel the world for world class competitions. At that time, I was the youngest
rider in “pro class”, and without any sponsors. Competing was my own real video game,
saving up on scoring money in order to go to the next round/competition, to train myself
on how it is to compete professionally until I win consistently. In 2003, I signed for
Red Bull, as the first ever Red Bull BMX Flatland Athlete, as I won the Red Bull Circle of
Balance in 2002, and in 2007 and then again in 2012. In 2010, I became the official World
Champion and then again now in 2015. In 2013 I won the most prestigious BMX Global
Awards in the US, as the “Number One Flatlander of the Year 2013”, and then again now
in 2015. I started my own BMX Flatland Bicycle company “KUOPPA GOMEZ BIKES” in 2007,
I paused that for some years, and now for 2016 it is officially back in business ready to
roll. ;)
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
A: I started riding BMX Flatland at the age of 14 when I saw some cool guys doing flat
tricks on their BMX bikes in the central park of Madrid, “El parque de Retiro”, and after
having seen the latest Nicole Kidman movie, “BMX Bandits”. Ever since the I am hooked to
BMX Flatland. What I still today love is the entire lifestyle that come with it, the people you
meet, the places you see, the pressure and anxiety of competing and the amazing opportunities
you get. I feel truly blessed for what I am able to create for myself by following
my passion and dream.

5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how
did you overcome it?
A: It is actually very scary everyday to go out there and try hard and new tricks. I play
with the fear and I overcome it slowly with prudence and courage.
6. What is the funniest/weirdest thing that has happened to you whilst doing this sport
professionally?
A: Funniest was to be practicing back stage for a show at the Laureus in Abu Dhabi and
meet Morgan Freeman. He came up to me, cause as it seemed, he likes BMX Flatland and
it felt as if I knew him from always. He is an amazing person and if God has someone who
might look alike it is definitely Morgan Freeman!
Weirdest must be that time when a fan came up to me, while practicing outside of my hotel
in Shanghai, and went on how much he loved me and looked up to me, only later finding
out that he thought I was Danny McKascill!! :p (LOL) I hope he didn’t get too disappointed..
hehe.
7. Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
A: Fortunately no! However, every Flatland rider will go through mental breakdowns from
time to time, due to the pressure of being original and progressing with new tricks infor
bigger competitions, as well as to represent sponsors. Other than that, I have dislocated
my right shoulder, suffered a tennis elbow/tendinitis for a longer period, suffered from
low-back problems, and minor knee problems with the inner liquids. I feel blessed for all
of this, as it makes you who you are, stronger, as well as learning from mistakes that
later gives you the experience of total control and manoeuvre. This goes for multiple
disciplines and other occupational choices.

8. Who is your real life hero and why?
A: So many and I must say myself. And the reason is because I know I have the capacity
and power to make dreams to become true, my own. I believe everyone should work hard
to later being able to look up to themselves, respect themselves and see themselves as
the hero they once wanted to become.
9. Do you have a favorite comic book or film hero and why?
A: Dragon Ball. Both the comic and the TV series. The reason is because the philosophy
behind it is very healthy and motivating. Always going to the next level but being true to
yourself and your surroundings.
10. What do you think about extreme and more unusual sports getting their own world
championships like the Olympics?
A: Very important, in order to be globally recognised as a “sport”, as well as making
a sports your profession we all need to be able to live from it financially. Partners and
sponsors are therefore a key aspect as well. Becoming commercial does not mean losing
traditions or spirits of a sports. I wish to see my sports recognised worldwide and I wish
to see that all the riders who put so much hard work and dedication are rewarded for
that. Our sport, Flatland deserves that!
RIDE ON!

injured several times but since little had the ability to come back even stronger .
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
Having fun with friends. I’ve always been alone. the fact of counting with several
friends and being able to do what gave you pleasure with several friends is the best
feeling in the world

3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
have to be prepared not only physically but mentally to fall , get hurt - hurt themselves
ugly and continue from where you left off. Of course, to compete in this sport
you need to have a good physical preparation and most likely a good financial condition
: D
4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart
That does not involve a lot of money . Those who travel the world circuit today runs
paid.
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and
how did you overcome it?
I never had many bad experiences with this sport . I started practicing a little older,
so always prevent me enough. however once I ended up suffering a very sharp fall in
which scraped a lot of parts of my body and I was quite wrong. That day I wondered
whether it was worth feel this pain for weeks again because eventually I could go
healing I could see better my goal and came back stronger than ever.
Tiago lessa and dillon stephens taking a açai and having fun, making each other laugh.
At the time in my head it seemed very strange as three people who are fighting for
have this
7. Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
No.

8. Who is your real life hero and why?
My hero is my father who surprisingly do things we thought to be impossible for him.
championships like the Olympics?
I think that already exists and are the x games. however they do not harbor all kinds of
sport, only the house that are more popular in the media . So I think yes, all extreme
sports should have a larger event.

Achievements:
2013 Whistler IDF world cup winner,
2013 Whistler world cup 2d place
2014 Pikes peak winner
2014 Rumble at the ranch winner
2015 Kozakov IDF world cup winner,
So on so forth…. Lots of skating experience…
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
The thrill, the community, riding gravity and having that feeling of being free flying down
a hill on 4 wheels and a peace of wood.
3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
I find myself surfing, stand up paddle boarding and making it to the gym once a week or
so. I skate more than anything and that give me the opportunity to work on going faster
and taking better lines, as well as stay in shape!

4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from
others?
As a professional I find the best things in my sport to be the community that’s been created
over the years. You can practically go anywhere in the world that has paved roads
and find some local skaters bombing down them. Or feeling semi weightless letting gravity
slingshot you down mountain roads with friends from around the world all in the same
location for the same reason!
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how
did you overcome it?
In our sport there are a few different things that could go wrong and fact is you can
try your hardest to save yourself from a fall but some falls are worse than others. At
speeds 50+ while on a peace of wood with 4 wheels and gravity propelling you down hill
with 3 or 5 other competitors all going for the podium spot things get intense. Getting
taken out again falling at speed is something you become numb to over time.
6. What is the funniest/weirdest thing that has happened to you whilst doing this sport
professionally?
Funniest things that has happened to me was probably winning my first world cup downhill
race fresh off all my sponsors and flying solo, the pun is that my old sponsor was the
title sponsor for the event.
7. Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
Injuries come and go but I will stay, in our sport it seems a lot of people have shoulder
issues; thankfully I do not and only deal with a bunk wrist time to time. I cant say I have
stayed away from the hospitals, Last year in Columbia I was taken out from behind,
slammed the hay bails and ended up with a chest contusion.

8. Who is your real life hero and why?
My real life hero is the every day Joe who is out there doing what he can to survive and
making ends meat, life rough at times and this one goes out to all the everyday people,
all the 9-5 people and supporters of skateboarding! Keep making the world go around.
9. Do you have a favorite comic book or film hero and why?
I enjoyed reading batman comics back in the day.
10. What do you think about extreme and more unusual sports getting their own world
championships like the Olympics?
I think it about time something like this happened. It is important to embrace these
new extreme sports that are emerging into our world and possibly pay respects to
them and their athletes. I know lots of people who devote there lives to sports that are
ganglier or more extreme than basketball or football knowing that it wont actually get
them any where further in life than there normal job. If the Olympics wont adapt to
these new sports and place them in that realm of athletic compotition than we have no
choice to do our own thing and boost out sports higher in the public eye!

Discovery, Nat Geo, 60 Minutes, SparkShopMedia, Djarum, Sony, LG, etc. Im also an Eagle
Scout, Motivational Speaker, Amateur Musician, and never broken a bone.

1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings?
I was born in California and raised in the hills of western Marin County. I moved once
as a little kid and ended up in a sub-urban town, very close to much more rural areas.
The Pacific Ocean, Mt. Tamalpais, and Giant Redwood trees were all directly within my
reach during my adolescent years. I was always athletic, participated in many sports,
and ventured into the outdoors-- usually on mountain bike. Then usually by car to surf in
my high school years. Besides friends, school, and sports, I was also a Scout for years.
My Mother and especially My father really helped me motivate through scouting. I attribute
his persistence and the opportunities provided by the Scouts to have provided me a
great platform to the take my life in the direction of adventure sporting. My parents basically
had only a few rules: 1. Finish College 2. Come Home for Christmas, and the newly
added rule due to my lifestyle choices 3. Die After They do. Those rules are only prefaced
by “Do what you love, and follow your heart.”
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
What originally attracted me to the sport was that you could do it anywhere-- it just
took some creative rigging sometimes... and I loved that! I was also attracted to the
counter culture attitude associated to slackline passed down from dirt bag rock climbers
of Yosemite. “Dirt bag,” is not a condescending title though, rather a praise to those who
don’t fiend for fame, notoriety, or luxury; but rather freedom instead. I loved the lifestyle
of going outside and seeing beautiful places, hiking and camping, and slacklining just gave
me an excuse to do it more. I found quickly that I needed help. So I learned to start loving
to teach slackline as well. The more I taught, the more friends would want to come out to
some random mountain, hike uphill for an hour and a half, just to rig a 60ft line between
some big boulders. Teaching slackline is still one of the most amazing attractions to me in
this sport, but back about that time when YouTube became a thing, I was given the ability
to show slackline internationally at the press of a button. So i started making movies.
Once I started uploading videos, showing the world what you could do with a slackline,
and the lifestyle behind it, I stumbled upon what I called the “Slacklife.” And that, became
my life, my sport, a lifestyle, and a religion.
3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
Slackline requires basic physical strength and demands mental stamina. When walking
you are forced to intensely focus your mind on balance and breathing for extended
periods of time in environments of incredible exposure. Sometimes this attributes to
shedding all other thoughts. This is where there is a similarity between slackline and
meditation comes into play.

Regardless, ALL of these requirements are easily trained by Slacklining a lot. But, you
have to learn how to rig. If you can’t install a slackline, you can’t walk a slackline. So
you have to train your knowledge of ropes, webbing, hardware, angles, tension, working
loads, shock loading, etc, etc. Once you can rig slacklines you realize how many different
styles of rigging, walking, bouncing, and trickling there are and each artisanship of
slackline demands unique skills-- only developed through repeated education, practice,
and failure. So to answer you more concisely, the only way to train and prepare for
slackline, is to prepare slacklines and train on as many as you can.
4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from
others?
Other than my giant blonde white guy afro, and appearing to do everything “Sketchily,”
I would say that it is my creativity that sets me apart from other professionals.
My ability to see a highline, or a trick, and do it. But, I not just a slackliner, or trick
liner or highliner, or a base jumper, climber, etc, etc, I am a dreamer! I love coming
up with ideas, drawing them on a piece of paper, making them happen, and inviting my
friends! Then I love showing the world and giving them the ability to want to dream for
themselves~ I love helping create shared experiences-- and that love for creation is
what sets me apart from other professional. I am a seer and a doer, and I keep having
visions of my dreams, and I live everyday of my life making them come true. Being able
to develop ideas that combine communities and bring people closer together to improve
their own lives... thats just a diamond in the rough!~ But, please god, I hope I can live
like this forever! :D
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how
did you overcome it?
The most terrifying and difficult thing to face in this Sport/Lifestyle is the brutal
reality of my own mortality. Thinking of my own death is crazy! It gives me goose
bumps, increases my heart rate, and makes my thoughts race with anxiety. When you
are essentially playing with death on a very constant basis, it wears on your relationship
with your loved ones, your friends, your family; and you have to deal with, fair, but
overwhelming resistance to your lifestyle. Smiling and turning the other cheek seems
to be the best strategy, but in turn this wears on your relationship with yourself. Am I
crazy? Do I have a death wish? How am I still even alive!? Let me put it to you this way,
have you ever been asked the question, “What would you do if you only had a month to
live?” Well, Ive dealt with that question every month for over 5 years. And when you
have a relationship with death like that, seeing people die, loosing friends, seeing brutal
injuries, it really makes how you live your life everyday different from the people
around you. And that is difficult, and terrifying.

6. What is the funniest/weirdest thing that has happened to you whilst doing this sport
professionally?
I would say the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me manifested from the
2010 G.G.B.Y. (Gobble Gobble Bitches Yeah!~) November highline meeting in Moab UT. I
was in the midst of training the free solo world record and I was training a lot. I was
ahead of schedule for free soloing a highline once a week, and I had been doing this for
over a year at that point. When you are training to free solo a line you can stair step
yourself up mentally to the solo. You can do this by tying in the leash to your waist(called
a swami) with no harness on. This gives you a higher consequence if you fall and miss
the line, but not death just pain. Also, you usually don’t fall, but the fear of the idea of
falling is what you are trying to train to combat. After you tie it to your waist, you can
tie it to your ankle-- this is called a ball and chain. Even more consequence of a fall, but
not death. And after your ankle I thought... you can tie it to your cock and balls. So I
did. I got naked at the festival, tied my x-girlfriends leash to my balls (not purposefully,)
and walked across the highline in what i was laughing about calling “Balls and chain.” I
couldn’t decided if falling and having my cock and balls ripped off before i fell to my death
was worse, than falling and having my cock and balls hold me under the line, attached to
a leash, stretching slowly as I awaited rescue... I cleared that from my mind as I smiled
and my friend snapped a photo of me finishing the line. And ever since that day, that full
frontal nude shot of me has circled the globe! From internet forms, to climbing articles,
to International publishings, etc, etc. Its been shared everywhere, loved, hated, uploaded,
deleted, banned, framed, and more. Not many people get a chance for full frontal nude
publicity, but hey, when you get the chance... Let it happen. It’s slacklife after all.
7. Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
I have never had a really serious injury from any sport and in fact I have never broken
a bone. I crashed mountain boarding and lost a lot of skin once. That was my only
time getting stitches, other than from surgery to my face after that accident to repair
the damage! I tweaked my ankle once tricklining in a contest and was walking in 4 days,
injury lingered for 6 weeks. I crashed hard BASE jumping multiple times, bruising my
heels, spraining my write, smashed my knee once really hard, walked to the top of the
jump and jumped it again... that knee injury lingered nearly 16 weeks. I have taken multiple
nut shots of epic proportions, highline leash rings have crushed my knuckles, knees, face,
teeth, bit my tongue, I have taken many many many super hard hits, tumbling through
rocks, big whippers climbing, one bruising knee, walking in 3 days, 6 weeks lingering,
countless flesh wounds, busted toe nails and finger nails, and I would actually say that my
most intense injuries in my sporting career were emotional.

In competitive trickline, I got 2nd place to my best friend Alpha Mike, and lost my shit!
I tore my check in half, walked off the podium, poured water on the judges, and ran off
in tears. Embarrassing yourself, hurting your friends, and being voted 2nd hurt worse
that any of the injuries I’ve sustained, and takes longer to recover from... sometimes you
never recovering fully. But bar-none when I witnessed the body under the cliff and experienced
the death of my friend Daniel.. That was the most intense injury of my career. I
dealt with.. and am still dealing with that emotional wounding. I am asking myself if I feel
lucky to have my most serious injury be emotional. And I think I do. But man, I do miss
you Dan.
8. Who is your real life hero and why?
One of my real life heroes is Phillipe Petit, the Man on Wire, because he embraces
great risks with great style-- even if the risks include crossing the strict boundaries of
the system. I have never met him, but I appreciate his talents, honor his achievements,
and have been inspired by his storytelling, photographs, and movies. Especially from
his most famous mission of charging up and wire walking the World Trade Centers. I am
envious and a little jealous because now-a-days, you pull that kind of stunt and you go
to jail for years. The United States does not FUCK AROUND anymore, and the last people
who snuck onto the new world trade center and jumped off are looking at serious time.
But having explored the upper echelon of a balance sport of similar nature to wire walking
for over ten years, I am still in awe of the stunts he initiated 30+ some odd years ago.
And the fact that he did all his performances free solo, still blows my mind today. Kudos
Phillipe, thank you for your art. I hope to meet you one day, shake your hand, and thank
you for the inspiration as I see the crazy look in your eyes!
9. Do you have a favourite comic book or film hero and why?
One of my favorite hero/comic film’s was “The Mask.” Jim Carrey, plays a character
of normal guy, down on his luck, with a slogan he begrudgingly accepts, “Nice Guys Finish
Last.” I guess he isn’t really your average super hero, but when he finds this mask he
becomes this frigging ridiculous, off the wall, hilarious, dark but lovable badass that happens
to be one of my favorite comic/hero’s characters ever. I loved The Mask because
it allowed the wearer of the mask to embrace the power of their true character-- sometimes
inflating the negative characteristics of the wearer. I found the philosophy behind
the mask to be inspiring. They talk about people wearing masks, the face everyone shows
the world, when they are really different underneath. Its a metaphor for the barriers
people put up for themselves naturally in society. Basically, don’t judge a book by its cover.
Accepting your character and living to your full potential it one of the greatest challenges
everyone faces in life. It takes focus. Its just sometimes, you don’t have a mask to
focus your energy, so you have to practice focusing on your own! And training focus is
slacklines number one skill.

10. What do you think about extreme and more unusual sports getting their own world
championships like the Olympics?
I feel as if extreme and unusual sports already have their own championships, they’re
just not considered Olympic sports yet! Nor do they have the funding to. Slackline, Foot
Bag, Fire Spinning, etc. It comes down to skill set, consequence, and overall watch-ablity
to me. A sport can’t just be extreme, it also has to be interesting, and fun to watch. If
the sport isn’t interesting, well its over right there. If its not fun to watch, you won’t
get the support you need to even have a championship. The most difficult task for the
extreme and unusual sports is having the upper echelon members of the sport get together
to design a contest that is good for the sport, as well as interesting, but most
importantly watchable for the audience! This combination is hard to achieve sometimes.
Just in terms of coordination, a lot of the time in niche sports, the top athletes reside
on all parts of the globe. All of a sudden to have an international contest of any worth
(compared to the olympics) you need to invest ~$150,000-$200,000 minimum, and the
platforms for these small extreme sports can’t front the bill. But, one day maybe! I have
my fingers crossed :D

Interview Questions for the Heroes World Championship art
book:
Gary Hunt. Discipline: Heroes extreme cliff diving ( water jumps).
Name: Gary Hunt
Weight: 67kg
Height: 5’9”
1- I started diving at the age of 9, and competed 10m and 10m synchro until the age of 22,
my biggest accomplishment was third place in the commonwealth games in 2006 in the
10m synchro event.
I moved to high diving in 2006 and started competing in 2007, my accomplishments
include 5 times Red Bull world series champion, current world champion.
2. I love the challenges that come with the sport of diving. Every dive is an emotional roller
coaster. There’s such a difference in the way I feel before a high dive (all the nerves
and the stress), the way I feel during the dive (total freedom and control) and the sensation
after a successful dive.
3. Training includes lots of diving from the poolside, 1m, 3m, 5m, 7m, and 10m, plus lots of
strength and conditioning, some trampolining and dry land somersaults.
4. The best thing about the sport is travelling to wonderful locations around the world.
The difference of high diving compared to other sports is the relationship between the
athletes. We often travel without coaches and so we help each other out. No one wants
to see anyone else get hurt so we are all happy when we get through a competition successfully.
5. The hardest dive that I currently compete was a big test for me, nobody had ever
performed the dive before so it was a real leap of faith.

6. During a dive that I did in Boston there was an enormous bolt of lightening that struck
just as I took off from the platform. It was too late to stop so I just kept my nerve and
finished the dive.
7. I’ve ended up in hospital after a high dive. I was performing a front quad with 2.5
twists in Italy in 2010 and didn’t manage to fit all of the dive in before hitting the water.
Luckily I didn’t break any bones but I was really sore for about a month afterwards.
8. My sporting hero is my friend Gavin Brown with whom I learnt to dive and who was an
incredibly talented diver. He always wanted to learn the crazier dives and inspired me to
do so also. He unfortunately died in a car accident just when I started in the sport of cliff
diving and so the memory I have of his skills and his love for the sport inspires me to
push myself to the limits.
9. My favourite comic book hero has to be superman, he has the best set of superpowers.
10. I’m very happy to see extreme sports getting more and more attention. It’s the natural
progression for sports and it’s what get’s the public excited.

Julian Boulle. Discipline: Heroes Extreme Wingsuit Skydiving.
Age:41
Weight:74kg
Height:1.86m
Title and accomplishments:
Multiple world champion In Skydiving and BASE jumping wingsuit competitions
1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings?
I have been skydiving at the age of sixteen.
I am a Pro Skydiving athlete on The “Skydive Dubai Wingsuit team.”
I have 15000 + skydives and 2300 BASE jumps
I started Skydiving in South Africa and followed my passion around different Drop Zones
and mountains of the world.
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport?
The air. I find “air” to be the most amazing element to interact with.
I guess you could also say I love Gravity, this is the engine that powers movement
though air.
3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
I skydive full time. Training for various disciplines in wing suit flying.
I also train for specific Demonstration Events and BASE jumping wing suit races in the
mountains.
And just stay active and do some yoga.

4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from
others?
Wingsuit flying allows a transfer of vertical gravitational pull to be directed into horizontal
movement. Amazing distances can be covered.
I love this transfer of energy into glide.
I take great pleasure in seeing others smile from passion after a powerful new evolution
takes place.
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how
did you overcome it?
It’s not really a scary activity. Respecting the others in the sky is key.
6. What is the funniest/weirdest thing that has happened to you whilst doing this sport
professionally?
Wondering if I left the stove on , while flying my wing suit down a cliff into a valley in Switzerland.
7. Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
No
8. Who is your real life hero and why?
The people who smile, these are the ones. They can help others to power up for the day
without having to say a word.
I would say my mom and dad do this well. When i think of my Big Brother i find my smile,
so he would definitely be my “hero”.
9. Do you have a favorite comic book or film hero and why?
Death Stroke. He’s amazing. Who else could have stood in for Bat Man and pulled it off so
well.

10. What do you think about extreme and more unusual sports getting their own world
championships
like the Olympics?
As sports and their spectators interest evolve, so to will the bodies that promote them.
In time I feel Air-Sports may very well be included in such an event as the Olympics.
The advances made in technology with regard to media and these sports being filmed has
increased
spectator appeal too.

Interview Questions for the Heroes World Championship art
book:
Espen Fadnes. Discipline: Heroes Extreme Wingsuit Skydiving.
Name: Espen Fadnes
Age: 36
Weight: 70 kg
Height: 177 cm
Title and accomplishments: 1. FAI World Champion in Wingsuit Skydiving 2015, 3rd in
World Wingsuit League 2014, 1st in World Wingsuit Race 2013, Overall World Champion in
Wingsuit Flying in 2012, 1st in World Base Race and 1st in Pro Base Race 2011. WarrenMiller
Ski Movie Rider, Emmy Nominated for outstanding camerawork in wing suit flying.
1. Can you give us a quick bio of your background and beginnings? I started skydiving in
2000 and base jumping in 2001 in my home country Norway. I was fortunate to be part
of the early beginning of wing suit flying and got to learn from the best, such as Robert
Peknic, Loic Jean-Albert and Shane McConkey. After 10 years as a passionate hoppy pilot
I managed to go fully professional in 2012 due to strong competition results. I remain
today a full-time wing suit pilot.
2. What attracted you and got you into this sport? Its the fascination of being above the
earth. If I could go to another planet I would. If I could grow wings I would. Flying is the
best feeling I know of, especially when flying with friends. We are not suppose to fly, but
we still manage. It stands as a proof of humans ability to evolve. I just had to fly I guess.

3. What do you have to do to train and prepare for this sport?
One often says 10 000 quality hours is what it takes to fulfil your potential in a task. An
amount easily reached by a marathon runner, often reached by Alpine Skiers but never
reached by air sport athletes. I think the key to stand solid and safe at the frontiers of
human flight is to do it as much as possible. So thats what I do. I spend as much time in air
as I can, with the focus of learning.
4. As a professional, what is the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from
others?
I like air sports touch of something dreamy. We all are n the business of reaching for the
impossible. A human that flies, 100 %” defines something we are not designed to do, but
not only do we do it, we compete in it. And thats a rare thing.
5. What was the scariest/most difficult thing you ever had to face in this sport and how
did you overcome it?
The most difficult thing about my sport is to live of it. We dont get the attention you see in
the bigger sports. Our low frequencies on TV make us less popular amongst sponsors. I
overcome this by never giving up, and try to be a trustworthy yes-man.
6. What is the funniest/weirdest thing that has happened to you whilst doing this sport
professionally?
Few funny/weird things happen in freefall unless I choose them to happen. Maybe the
weirdest thing Ive ever done is to go to Malaysia to speak about my life in flying to Malaysian
Airlines.
7. Have you ever had a serious injury from this sport?
No

8. Who is your real life hero and why?
My little brother. He grew up with big challenges after being bored premature. He has
slowly grown stronger in life, never have he spoken loud about it, never has he been
complaining, at some point he passed his equals in what he was doing. Today he is working
with his passion, the music industry, and he is trusted by many successful artists. But
first and foremost, he keep it cool no matter how much it burns around him.
9. Do you have a favorite comic book or film hero and why?
No I dont. There are books I pass by though, that fascinates me. The 1900-trilogy of Ken
Follett thought me lots about our history. I watch lots of films, and a really good film can
make me rethink parts of my personal paradigm. I would say to have a favourite film hero
may decline your chance to discover truly good films.
10. What do you think about extreme and more unusual sports getting their own world
championships like the Olympics?
Im not sure what this question means. To be an official sport, one needs to have an association
directly under the different national sports associations. Then the different sports
associations are linked under the international sports association. Now all official World
Championships can only happen under the wings of this international system. It doesn’t
matter if you are from Golf, Snowboarding or Skydiving. Their championships are equal
and official under the same system. If someone privately calls a competition the World
Championship, they can off course do so, that has nothing to do with the type of sport,
it only shows they are doing it outside the rules and regulations of international sport. I
think its cool to compete, but would prefer to officially represent my country, rather than
do those private more money based competitions that just put a name on their event.

Emily Pross. Discipline: Heroes Extreme Longboard Downhill.
Name: Emily Pross (nickname: “The Prossecutor”
Age: 19
Weight: 150lbs
Height: 5ft 5in
Title & Accomplishments:
2015 International Downhill Federation (IDF) Women’s World Champion
Finished 25th overall worldwide in the Open/Men’s Division
Finished 10th Overall in North in Open/Men’s Division in North America
Bio: I was born and raised in New Jersey. I got into downhill skateboarding by mistake.
I actually wanted to do street luge, but at the time I didn’t know what it was called, so I
googled “longboard that you lay on” and longboarding/downhill skateboarding came up on
the Google search. I didn’t get serious about downhill skateboarding until I was 16 years
old, and for a year I was fully into the freestyle aspect of downhill skating. It was until I
turned 17 that I started to start to race skateboards and get fully into competitive racing.
2014 was the first year I competed in the IDF. I ended up falling in love with the competiveness
of competing on the world circuit. With hard work and determination, I managed to
become women’s world champion my 2nd year in the IDF. I’m now chasing my goal to win
a race in the open/men’s division in downhill skateboarding, and the closest I’ve come to
doing that is 6th place. I’m also taking online college classes, while and skating, and working
toward getting my degree in Marketing and Communications.
What attracted me to the sport?
I got into the sport by mistake. I used to binge watch the Extreme Goofy Movie when I was
little, and when they competed in the XGames they had a little snipit of them racing street
luge.

I thought that was the was coolest thing ever. After I broke my cheap Walmart skateboard,
I decided I wanted to get a street luge. At the time I had no idea what it was called because
I was going by my memories of when I was 4 years old. I googled “longboard that you lay
on” and longboarding/downhill skateboarding came up on the Google search. I told my
parents that’s what I wanted, and after they bought I realized that that wasn’t what I wanted.
I didn’t want them to waste their money, so I bit my tougue and went with it. I ended up
liking in longrun.
What do I have to do to train for this sport?
A lot of people don’t train, as in going to the gym, for this sport like they do other
sports. I’m one of the few who actually do train, and it shows. I go to the gym every single
day and train my heart out, lifting weights with some cardio on the side. Then of course I
also practice my skateboarding by bombing hills, but I don’t really consider that training
because its so fun, you don’t realize it’s just practice.
What’s the best thing about this sport and what sets it apart from others?
Downhill skateboarding features a very tight knit community. The people involved
are relaxed, and after racing you can go hang out with everyone. The fact that everyone
leaves the competiveness on the track at the end of the day is what sets downhill skating
apart from other sports.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve faced in this sport and how did you overcome it?
The scariest thing is standing at the top of ridiculously gnarly hill, and convincing
yourself to go down. I like to overcome my fears by experiencing them first hand, and
throwing my at them.
Funniest thing thst happened to me while in the sport?
Not to sure I had many of these moments. I guess one of the funniest/ most interesting I
has was someone losing their wheel mid race heat.
Have you ever had a serious injury?
Yes this past year, two days before a race I fell at about 50mph and went right into
a drainage ditch full of rocks. I banged up back real good, and I think I sprained my diaphragm
because I wasn’t able to breath correctly for a few days. I paid a lot of to go out
and race, and I was not letting the injury slow me down. So even though I couldn’t function
much at all without extreme back pain shooting up and down my spine, I still raced. In fact

I ended up finishing 1st in women’s and 16th in the Open/Men’s division at the 2015 Whistler
Longboard Festival.
Who is your real life hero?
I wouldn’t say I have a real life “hero” I don’t really view the people I look up to as “hero’s”
there just someone who I admire, and who’s attitude and personality I want to emulate. I
really am a big fan of Jillian Michaels. Since I’m big into fitness and eating healthy, I like
the fact that she is a personal trainer. While I was little I loved watching her hardcore, bad
ass never give up attitude. I was just amazed watching her on the TV show Biggest Loser
when it first aired on TV. And her never give up attitude was what I really wanted to emulate.
Who is your favorite comic book hero?
There not a hero, but I really like the Joker, which is why I painted my helmet like
that. Plus I think the Joker is really awesome looking. Aside from that, my favorite hero is
wonder women. I just appreciate that fact comics can strong female hero, who can kick
butt, but still be feminine.
What do you think about extreme sports being the Olympics?
Extreme sports being in the Olympics would be great, especially from a marketing
standpoint. The public loves seeing sports with a danger factor, and with new media technology
the broadcasting channels have the opportunity to really make all extreme sports
go main stream in the Olympics. There isn’t much of a showing of extreme sports in the
Summer Olympics, and I really wish the committee would consider putting Downhill Skateboarding
in the Olympics because its tight action packed racing. That has both an excite
and danger factor to captivate the audience. Its also easier to judge than regular street,
vert ramp skateboarding because you don’t have the factor of judges being biased. In
downhill who ever crosses the line first wins, simple and easy to score.

LIGHT MAN 29.99$
THE MOVIE 25.00£

Screenplay. Light Man, The birth of a new super hero.
Written by Marek Light. From the book, Light Man Universe
- The Characters. Set the movie director Marek Light.

INTRODUCTION
I would like to present my screenplay LIGHT MAN: BIRTH OF A SUPER HERO
Light Man : Hackney Bravo, born London UK
Light Wman: Gerbera Gold, born NYC
AH God of the heroes, Father of Light Man
Light Maker, God, creator of the heroes light.
Genre: (Action/ Adventure/ Comedy).
Logline: An ordinary comic book artist get sucked up in the cosmos and is reborn as the hero he
draws only to find the villains he created waiting for him as well! Fantasy
is now reality!
Based in New York City, Light Man accepts his new life as the super hero he once drew on Earth and
adjusts to the fact that his comic book adventures are now real. All the characters he once drew,
both good and evil, are all real. Light Man must assume the responsibility to destroy the evil hell bent
characters that he has unknowingly unleashed on the world through his art. His enemy is a god cast
down from the city of angels, and his mortal girlfriend who enjoys making things explode. They want
to take over the world, but in order to do that they have to defeat the gods, goddesses and Light Man.
Fortunately, Light Man discovers his allies of gods, goddesses and fellow superheroes that also exist
and a real life fight of good versus evil begins.
Light Man is determined to create the “The World Championships For Heroes,” an Olympics for extreme
sports that the newly created gods, goddesses, heroes and heroines can take part in. However,
his arch enemies are determined to turn it into the ultimate terrorist plot. In this epic confrontation
between good and evil, Light Man must align himself with all his allies in order to combat this evil
force.
Light Man offers a completely fresh universe of superheroes to engage with for a new generation of
fans. This story line is written to be continued on for a further two films to make it highly successful
and marketable with the hope for a cartoon T.V series, 3D animations and comic books to follow.
Highly motivated and driven, I graduated from the London Shoreditch College of Art in 2004 and
London The Metropolitan University 2008 Fine Art. Since then I have put on exhibitions in London, self
published graphic novels of my superhero stories, created two animations from my characters and
attended, as a professional, several comic book conventions. I am currently collaborating with other
talented creative people to expand my ideas and stories. If you are interested in reading the fulllength
script of LIGHT MAN: BIRTH OF A NEW SUPERHERO and a potentially highly profitable collaboration,
a full screenplay is available now.
Sincerely,
Marek Light

LIGHT MAN
Enough! It’s giving me a headache just listening to you talk.
(to those standing behind him)
Let’s show this stupid beast where they belong.
All the gods and goddesses rush to attack, but suddenly stop dead in their tracks. They look
around at each other.
Everyone around them is Warroom Man, Lady War and Varney the Beast. They begin attacking
each other. Warroom Man and Lady War can see who they are actually fighting, but in their
own eyes they are engaging the enemy.
There are people screaming, and running wild. They are trampling over each other to get out
of the arena.
Light Maker moves towards Warroom Man.
EXT. CITY OF LIGHTS - DAY
Light Maker is standing at the entrance to the city. He looks around confused.
EXT. ARENA - DAY
Light Maker is looking around him. He looks confused. Light Man watches the gods and goddesses
attack each other in horror. He grabs hold of IM.
What are you doing?
LIGHT MAN
IM
We must vanquish all our enemies.
He points at Warroom Man. Light Man sees Black Man. IM shakes free and resumes his attack.
Light Man looks at Varney the Beast. He can see energy pulsating from him, creating illusions.
Light Man attacks Varney the Beast.
Warroom Man smiles as he watches Light Man attack Light Woman
69

Light Woman screams with every blow she blocks from Light Man.
LIGHT WOMAN
What are you doing? Light Man sees the mouth of the beast open, and a nasty
growl emanating from spiked teeth.
retaliate.
LIGHT MAN
I will defeat you, beast. Light Woman blocks Light Man’s attacks, but doesn’t
LIGHT MAN (CONT’D)
Fight back, you beast.
LIGHT WOMAN
No! Light Man hears a nasty growl. Warroom Man and his two companions sit
in the stadium watching the epic display of power as the allies have turned on each other.
WARROOM MAN
This is working out better than I thought. And I don’t even have to lift a finger.
LADY WAR
Victory will be ours.
WARROOM MAN
You will be immortal as soon as I absorb all their powers.
They kiss, while everyone is fighting.
There is a cosmic display of plasma beams, and explosions of light as the powerful beings
battle against each other. Slowly they begin to weaken and start taking direct hits. Light Man
shoots a plasma beam and hits Varney in his shoulder, burning away clothing and flesh.
Light Man grabs his own burning shoulder as a similar wound appear. Light Man drops to one
knee. He looks at Varney, realizing he is not fighting back. His eyes look pitiful. Light Man gets
up, and walks over to Varney, who holds both hand up to defend himself
70

Light Man kisses the beast. Light Woman kisses him back. The wounds on their shoulder heals
quickly.
LIGHT MAN
I am sorry my love. My own eyes tricked me.
LIGHT WOMAN
No, it wasn’t you. They turn to the stadium. Warroom Man and Lady War is
still kissing.
Light Man and Light Woman shift into light speed, and appears behind Warroom Man and Lady
War. They hit them both with a plasma beam, sending them spiralling out of control, and
crashing in the field.
They hit Varney, and he lands on the other side of the stadium, crashing through metal. Lady
War and Warroom Man recovers.
LADY WAR
What just happened?
Varney steps out with red, angry eyes.
Lady War gets to her feet and arms herself with grenades and bombs.
Light Man and light Woman move towards them at the speed of light. Warroom Man sidesteps,
and grabs them both hurling them towards the stadium. Lady War throws two grenades after
them.
They crash into metal and the grenades explodes engulfing them. Light Man and Light Woman
emerge from the explosion with a wound on their left arm. The wound is healing quickly.
WARROOM MAN
Focus on the woman. Take her out.
Lady War launches two grenades at Light Woman. Light Man blocks them. Warroom Man,
and Varney begin attacking Light Woman. She defends herself, with help from Light Man. The
battle intensifies.
Light Man blocks every kick and punch. Light Woman hits Varney multiple times with a plasma
ray. It barely phases him.
72

Lady War is shooting explosives, and launching grenades.
Every wound inflicted on Light Woman appears on Light Man, but heals quickly.
Light Man and Light Woman sprouts wings and launches upward. Varney and Warroom Man
follows. Lady War remains grounded. She is not too happy about that. She starts pacing back
and forth waiting for an opportunity.
The other gods and goddesses continues to battle each other. Warroom Man and Varney takes
some direct hits. Light Woman and Light Man has the advantage in the air.
Light Man expands a plasma ball trapping Varney.
Light Woman blocks Warroom Man’s attacks, and goes in for a final punch.
Snakes sprout out of Warroom Man’s back, and one of the vipers snaps its mouth over Light
Woman’s shoulder. Her powers are drained and transferred to Warroom Man who roars with
delight.
The wound appears on Light Man’s shoulder. He weakness. The snake releases Light Woman,
and she falls to the ground. Lady War takes her hostage.
LADY WAR
Hey Light Man. Give yourself over to Warroom Man now, or your girlfriend dies.
LIGHT MAN
No, Michael. Finish this. Evil must never prevail, or the whole entire universe
will be ruined. Light Man considers his options. He releases Varney.
LIGHT MAN (CONT’D)
The whole universe is not worth living without you.
Two snakes latches on to Light Man’s shoulders draining his powers. He falls limb at the feet of
Lady War.
Warroom Man and Varney land.
Warroom Man picks up Light Man. He extends his hand to Lady War. She hands him a gun.
73

WARROOM MAN
You are stupid, Light Man. Love makes you stupid. Now you both die.
Warroom Man is hit hard by an invisible force. The gun is knocked from his hand. Light Man falls
from his grip.
What was that?
WARROOM MAN (CONT’D)
What was what?
LADY WAR
Warroom Man is hit hard again. He topples over, but quickly gets to his feet. He swipes hard
at the air around him. He is hit again, and again. He starts fighting his invisible foe, baffled and
confused.
Warroom Man takes one final hit, and is sent spirally across the stadium, and crashes into a
cement wall. He falls unconscious and the wall crumbles around him.
Varney stumbles and falls, weakened. Light Man hits him with a plasma beam, and he vanishes in
a puff of smoke. Cosmos Man appears.
LIGHT WOMAN
Johnny! Cosmos Man pulls Light Man to his feet.
COSMOS MAN
(winks)
I always got your back Light Man.
They turn to Lady War. She has nowhere to turn. She raises both hands in surrender. Light Woman
subdues her violently. Plasma cuffs are placed on her hands and feet.
The hallucinations clears. The gods and goddesses stop fighting, realizing now that they were
fighting each other. They are all badly wounded.
RA is startled to see his hand on RH’s neck. He quickly pulls his hand away.
Light Maker rubs his eyes, as the real scene before him comes into focus. The gods and goddesses
are dusting each other off, and helping each other to their feet.
74

LIGHT WOMAN
I feel my powers coming back. I will go help the others.
Light Woman is touching and healing wounds all over the arena. Light Man hugs Cosmos Man.
LIGHT MAN
I feel I should know the answer to this question, but how did you do it?
COSMOS MAN
Well, when I noticed that every other face was Warroom Man, I knew something
was wrong. I figured it must be an hallucination, so I did what any normal person would do.
Do tell.
LIGHT MAN
COSMOS MAN
Instead of fighting the bad guys, just fight the one who I should not be fighting.
Me?
LIGHT MAN
COSMOS MAN
Yes. Turns out you were actually the real Warroom Man.
LIGHT MAN
You are brilliant. But I didn’t know you had the power of invisibility.
this.
COSMOS MAN
I don’t. I have the power to shrink to an incredibly small size. You should know
LIGHT MAN
It is all a blur to me right now. Light Maker walks over to them
75

LIGHT MAKER
I think today you have proven yourselves as the true protectors of the earth.
LIGHT MAN
Duty called. We answered.
LIGHT MAKER
Next time, take my warnings seriously.
I am sorry.
LIGHT MAN
LIGHT MAKER
Let this be a lesson well learnt. Light Man looks at Lady War.
LIGHT MAN
What about them?
LIGHT MAKER
The woman stays in a prison here. Warroom Man goes back with me. He will be
locked away for all eternity.
AH, RS, and LA walk over. They are fully recovered from their wounds.
AH pats Light Man on his shoulder. AH Sorry about your world championship for heroes. I know
this meant a lot to you.
EXT. ARENA - LAS VEGAS - DAY
SUPERIMPOSE: One Year Later
LIGHT MAN
Oh, I haven’t give up yet.
Light Man and Light Woman race forward holding the lighted torch.
The crowd is bigger. The people go wild.
Behind Light Man and Light Woman is Cosmos Man, RA, AH, AS, IM, Black Man, RW
M. LIGHT M. LIGHT AND H.R GIGER IN
SWITZERLAND H.R GIGER THE
CREATOR OF THE ALIEN BEAST
2013
The founder and art director of the Light Man Comics, Marek Szostaczko as Artist Marek Light.
A Quick Overview of the Light Man Universe Business Goals and Brand Expansion
Since time began, humanity has always desired a hero, someone to give hope and to inspire. Our current times are no different
as this hero worship takes place in the form of celebrity culture. Marek Light is offering a new positive hero for this generation
by the rebirth of the traditional comic book hero with a modern twist with his character ‘Light Man’ and his universe. Marek is
designing his character to be a truly modern hero for our time; a new figure to unite people worldwide.
Highly ambitious, the Light Man Universe has many goals; to not only bring a lot of profitable entertainment and highly marketable
inspirational characters, but also to revolutionise the way comic culture can affect society and expand beyond pen and paper.
Marek aims to achieve this with a new worldwide sporting event, full length feature films, an animated series, conventions, festivals,
merchandise and more.
Currently, Marek has two published graphic novels, Light Man #1; The Birth of a New Superhero, The First Dream and Light Man #2:
The American Superheroes. He has two animations all ready completed, which have all ready been featured in many film festivals
in 2014 such as the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival; Official Selection, NOFI World Festival of Student & Non-commercial Films and
the San Diego International Kids Film Festival, receiving a very positive response. Full length 25 minute episodes are also in the
making for a variety of his characters. Marek has also featured the Light Man Universe in the MCM Comic Con in London and with
more appearances in various comic conventions in 2015. Marek will visit comic conventions all over the world including America
and Japan to spread the Light Man Universe. He is gearing up to feature in the San Diego Comic Con in the near future. His goal in
all of these present creations of Light Man is to be an invitation and demonstration of all the possibilities of how these characters
can be developed and marketed.
Currently, Marek is working on having an animated cartoon series and a full length live action feature film. The feature film will
massively expand the brand and help make it a global phenomenon. The script for this film is currently under development and
will be presented to investors, screen writing agencies and production companies. More graphic novels are also on the way with
a variety of the characters getting their individual series. Future publications will include graphic novels Cosmos Man, Light Man
#3, Light Boy and Light Girl and Love Man. Marek has all ready developed merchandise based on his characters including not only
T shirts and caps but more unusual items such as uniquely designed Light Man Lamps and perfume fragrances. The ways the Light
Man brand can be expanded is limitless.
Marek’s next big goal is to create a completely new sporting event called ‘The World Championships For Heroes’ which will be a
new kind of Olympics for extreme sports. The Olympics are breath taking and amazing all ready, but just imagine if the concept
was taking further with the heart stopping danger and skill of extreme sports! Not only that but a special message of how the
everyday person can become a hero will be the central theme of the event to positively encourage and inspire a new generation.
The World Championships For Heroes will be a ground breaking event sure to revolutionize sports and unite the world in a new
way. It will be a fantastic investment opportunity and a big promotion for sports worldwide.
Like the Olympics, this amazing sporting event will happen every four years with both winter and summer events. Marek is aiming
to start the qualification program from spring 2019 and the grand opening of the actual event taking place in the spring of 2021.
This will take place in multiple places around the world as each extreme sport demands its own unique environment. However,
there will be a central base where some of the sports that do not need a specific environment will take place along with the opening
ceremony. This location will change locations for the summer and winter just like the Olympics so it can be fairly represented
throughout the world.
Events so far include: Cage Fighting, Wrestling, Strongest Man, F1 Race Car Driving, Football for Heroes, Skydiving, Paragliding,
BMX, Mountain Biking Downhill, Skateboarding, Aggressive Inline Skating, Cliff Jumping, Base Jumping, Street Dancing, Surfing,
including Kite Surfing and Wind Surfing, Water Skiing, Jet Skiing, 8000m High Mountain Climbing, Ice Climbing, Yacht Racing, Diving,
Snow Boarding, Toboggan Racing, Skiing, Ice Skate Racing, Extreme Motorsport, including Super Cross, Motocross and Freestyle
Motocross, Bungee Jumping, White Water Rafting, and High-lining.
Ultimately, the long term goal is to create a new iconic super hero brand, with a very positive message that can be marketed in
many different forms worldwide. The comics, animation, and film script thus far have been created to be promotional ideas to
encourage other creative talent and marketers to get behind and invest in a new polished product with global appeal.

Just like the summer Heroes Extreme World Championships, the winter version will happen
every four years, but two years after the summer events. This means essentially the
Heroes Extreme World Championships will happen every two years with alternating summer
and winter events. The first year for the winter events is hoped to start in 2023.
Like in the Olympics, different countries will host the event each time so all of the world
can be fairly represented and celebrated. However, a country must be able to prove that
it has the natural resources to host these sports as many of them depend on icy cold
weather, frozen water, snow and big mountains.
The first winter Heroes Extreme World Championships will take place in the highlands
of Scotland in 2023. Scotland’s five winter sports centres Cairngorm, Glenshee, Glencoe,
The Lecht, and The Nevis Range, offer fantastic opportunities for a variety of winter
sports. There are also great facilities both on-site and in nearby villages and towns
around all of these sites. Each of the five areas have its own very distinct characters
and challenges. The amount and quality of snow that Scotland gets is some of the best in
the world. Having Mountain ranges and plenty of cold water recourses surrounding the
country also make Scotland an ideal location.
After this, countries can enter a bid to get an opportunity to host the next winter Heroes
Extreme World Championships.
An special winter version of the Infinity Light Arena will be built. However due to the nature
of many these sports, multiple covered and heated stadium seating around the event
sites will be built.
The winter Heroes Extreme Sport World Championships also be about promoting green
and sustainable energy. All powered vehicles will use eco electric engage and the new
“Solar Roadways” technology will also be utilized just like in the summer event.
This technology will turn all pathways, surfaces, roads, and even competition areas into
solar panels that not only collect and convert the sun’s energy but will change colour and
design on demand for every purpose. These solar panels have LED lights within them that
can work in unison to change into whatever pattern or design needed as well as generate
air conditioning to keep everyone warm and use interactive smart technology for fun
and for safety. The solar technology will be able to work even in snow and heavy weather
conditions. Check out http://www.solarroadways.com/intro.shtml for more details.
The opening ceremony will also be very spectacular with special affects and award winning
performers to create an unforgettable experience. A special set of winter versions
for the metals will also be created for the event.
The theme that everyone can be a hero will continue on as it did from the summer events
and incorporate its own huge comic, film and entertainment convention alongside with
the excitement of the sporting events. Expect special winter themed extras like an ice
skating rink, snow men building contests, ice sculptures, a Christmas market and more.
