Young people generally consume as many as half of their calories at school each day. As such, schools are major contributors to children’s<br />

nutrition. Driven by passionate professionals, updated nutrition standards, and an increased appreciation for the role of nutrition in academic<br />

performance, school nutrition is changing for the better. Ms. Black, director of the Pew Charitable Trusts’ and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s<br />

Kids Safe and Healthful Foods Project, will discuss the progress made, challenges faced, and impact on young people today.<br />
