explore the world! Also, Volunteering while
abroad is a productive way to spend your
time. It also helps you meet people.
8. Buy souvenirs: Souvenirs are fun and will
become nice reminders of wonderful days
bygone. They also make for thoughtful gifts
and don?t have to be expensive. I personally
keep a collection of postcards and fridge
magnets.
9. Couchsurfing is a great way to travel and
meet people. If you haven't couchsurfed yet,
get on it!
10. Share your journey! BlaBlaCar is the best
opportunity for ridesharing. Connecting
people who need to travel with drivers who
have empty seats.
11. Use travel search engines like Gogobot to
find cheap accommodations.
12. Pick a cheap time of the year to travel -
avoid major holidays and summertime. Also
Fridays and Sundays are very expensive days
to travel.
13. Do your research: Ask around, visit
forums, search official city websites, check
the tourist information centers. Also, take
advice from student bloggers, you aren't the
first student to travel so why not learn from
others' mistakes?
Of course, compared to many parts of the
world travel in Europe remains a pretty
expensive undertaking. But if you are spending
some times studying in Europe you should
definitely take the chance to explore it as much
as you can. Just go! Student years are for living!
So why not use that time to travel the world,
take some pictures and make stories from wild
adventures? So get out there and make it
happen!
