Welcome to the 2016 Lombard Trophy The PGA and Lombard, in association with The Royal Bank of Scotland, and with the support of Pestana Resorts and Coca-Cola, are pleased to announce this year’s call for entries to one of the country’s most highly regarded and eagerly anticipated Club events, The Lombard Trophy. Lombard and The Royal Bank of Scotland are proud to be continuing their sponsorship of the largest Pro-Am tournament in Europe, in which well over one million amateur golfers have already participated over the years. We look forward to welcoming the many Club members who will enjoy the competition and fun of The Lombard Trophy 2016. The Lombard Trophy features 14 superb Regional Finals. Each outstanding venue features all the qualities needed to engage both PGA Professionals and dedicated amateurs. Lombard, in association with The Royal Bank of Scotland and The PGA, are also delighted to confirm that the 2016 Grand Final in September will be played at Pestana Golf Resort at Vila Sol, Portugal. The rising number of entries over the years shows that participation in The Lombard Trophy is its own reward, but there are also significant prizes at stake. The PGA Professionals will be competing for a share of the £70,290 prize fund and there will be highly coveted prizes for amateurs at both Regional and Grand Finals. This 2016 Lombard Trophy entry pack contains all the information you need to ensure your Club is represented at one of the 14 Regional Finals. Both eligible PGA Professionals and club secretaries have been mailed this document but an electronic copy is also available for download from www.pga.info. The first step to securing a place is to set the date of your Club Qualifying Round and promote this exciting opportunity to your members, using the poster included in this pack. Step-By-Step Entry Guide STEP 1 Organise your Club Qualifying Round and select any Regional Final venue to compete in. You have 14 venues to choose from. STEP 2 Once the date for the Club Qualifying Round has been set, complete the Club Entry Form and mail to The PGA with payment of £35/€47.25 attached in Envelope A. STEP 3 Host your Club Qualifying Round ensuring each amateur competitor pays £2/€2.70 to compete. Club Qualifying Rounds can be played alongside existing club competitions if required. STEP 4 Following the completion of your Club Qualifying Round, fill out the Team Confirmation Form, Press Publicity Form, Amateur Entry Sheet and attach a copy of the Club Qualifying Round results. This should then be mailed to The PGA along with the sum of the £2/€2.70 amateur entry fees in Envelope B.
