TIP #1 LINES ARE LOVE! They’re a linear pre-show party. Mingle. Chill. Meet people. Talk about the must-sees. Let an artist chat you up. TIP #2 GO GREEN! Be faithful to a single Fringe Program. Recycle your Fringe Program or download the the official Fringe app available in the Apple and Android app stores. Show programs and flyers? We’ll reuse them. Buy a reusable water bottle. Recycle your beer and wine cups. Walk, bike, take the Lynx or SunRail to Fringe. TIP #3 BE FREE! Visual Art is free to look at. Kids Fringe on the weekends is free. There are free shows on the Outdoor Stage. We love to be free at Fringe! TIP #4 GO BEHIND THE SCENES! Subscribe to Orlando Fringe’s e-newsletter at OrlandoFringe.org. Friend us on Facebook or follow our #OFringe25 hashtag on Twitter. We are very social here at Fringe. TIP #5 GET A FRINGE BUTTON! Unless you are under 13, you must have one to enter any venue or we’ll make you buy another. Then you’ll have two. You can bring a friend! TIP #6 BEING ON TIME IS COOL. 10 minutes before show time, very cool. Showing up late is not cool. We will not let you in. You will be mad. Not cool! TIP #7 READ THE ADS. You hold this free program in your hands because businesses, artists, sponsors and patrons like you love the Fringe and buy ads or make donations. Visit them. Thank them! TIP #8 EXPRESS YOURSELF. Take the Audience Survey. Add your reviews online. Or invite that Fringe-buttoned hottie over there to whatever show you’re going to next! TIP #9 CHECK OUT REVIEWS BUT MAKE UP YOUR OWN MIND There are some busy bees at Orlando’s newspapers reviewing the Fringe shows. Fringing is all about flying by the seat of your pants. Take a chance on an unknown show. Support the national and international performers. Embrace the random chaotic spirit of Fringe! TIP #1O BRING YOUR FAMILY. There are plenty of family-friendly shows at Orlando Fringe, including our free Kids Fringe at the Mennello Museum. Bring the kids to the vendors and buy them a sweet treat! TIP #11 CASH IS KING. We accept all major credit cards online and at our Box Office but most of the vendors on the lawn only accept cash. You can only buy beer with cash. Cash is really good to put in the tip jar at the Beer Tent. We even have an ATM there so you can get cash to put in the tip jar! TIP #12 BECOME A FRIEND OF FRINGE. Donate to Fringe 26 at our “Friends of the Fringe” table located inside the Lowndes Shakespeare Center. You get your name in next year’s program as a donor and a groovy little gift. That is friendly! TIP #13 PLAN FOR PARKING. There are about 500 free parking spaces located in and around Loch Haven Park. There are several on-street spots around the Festival, too. Get here early and stay late for the best parking. Can’t find a spot? Try the parking garage at Florida Hospital. They might charge you a couple of bucks but at least you’ll be here Fringing! On weeknights and weekends, there are lots of free spaces in the Mills50 area that are only a short walk to the Festival. You can even park your bike at the Bike Valet on the lawn. On weekends, there is a free shuttle bus from The Parliament House. TIP #14 TALK ART. BUY ART. All the artwork you see located on the walls of the Lowndes Shakespeare Center is for sale. Artists set the price and get 100% of the proceeds. You can come chat with the artists at the Visual Fringe table. I think that painting would look great in your living room. Don’t you?
