In November 2011, Pastor Victor<br />
Gill and his wife Nettie traveled to<br />
India to train Seventh-day and non-<br />
SDA pastors, conduct evangelistic<br />
series, and help at the Balm of<br />
Gilead orphanage and school.<br />
The 70+ children at the orphanage in the Rajahmundry<br />
Conference loved the Vacation Bible<br />
School Nettie ran for them while Victor ministered<br />
to the pastors in the area. Teaching in the school<br />
was more of a challenge as the schools lack money<br />
to buy adequate books and supplies. The cost to<br />
feed orphans and pay teacher’s salaries is $2500<br />
per month. Major shortage of Adventist teachers<br />
means that children are often exposed to Hindu<br />
beliefs alongside Christian teachings.<br />
