The raspberries and banana we eat for breakfast are fruits of labour, a
seed in the ground must produce more seeds, and as in the will and
representation in Arthur Schopenhauer’s notion of the Kantian
thing-in-itself, the self-creative consciousness mirrors the structure of
reality as a whole, and is dialectical logic conceived of as a thinking
substance. Nature held in Hegel’s overall position, is the logical idea
itself, whereas consciousness only thinks of its content as external
objects, arising through the soul’s initial objectification of its content. The
spirit is a developmental phase of the consciousness, that exists in
individual subjectivity, as described in The Philosophy of Spirit, whilst
the Science of Logic posits that the absolute idea enclosed within pure
thoughts is the science only of the divine concept, recognising itself as
the mere thought of the unity between concept and matter. By becoming
nature, and transcending its limitation by becoming an objectively
existing unity of concept and matter, within the logical idea, which
creates itself as objective nature. We can deduce, therefore, that by
thinking of the food we eat, we can will ourselves to receive them before
it is produced by nature; which is self sustaining, aware and thinking.
