Description<br />
five states to be used for the described objectives:<br />
90% grant, 10% loan in three phases.<br />
Governments of five states, Tripura, Mizoram<br />
Sikkim, Nagaland, and Meghalaya.<br />
State Government to write directly to the<br />
Department of Urban Development, Union<br />
Ministry of Urban Development for approval and<br />
sanction of their project proposal.<br />
4. North-East Rural Livelihoods Project (NERLP)<br />
Related scheme<br />
The development objective of the project is to<br />
improve rural livelihoods, especially that of<br />
women, unemployed youths and the most<br />
disadvantaged, in the participating North-Eastern<br />
States. There are four components to the project.<br />
i) Social Empowerment<br />
ii) Economic Empowerment<br />
iii) Partnership Development<br />
iv) Project Management.<br />
Nature of assistance Financial assistance would be through<br />
International Development Association (IDA).<br />
This is a world bank funded scheme.<br />

(NERLP)<br />
Women, SHG members and unemployed youth in<br />
the North Eastern Region.<br />
Applications need to submitted in the prescribed<br />
format to District Project Management Unit<br />
office/Block Project Facilitation Team offices.<br />
