So what are ‘superfoods’ and what<br />

makes them so superior <strong>to</strong> others<br />

and what’s trending in 2015?<br />

‘Superfoods’ are healthy foods<br />

that are low in calories and<br />

high in nutrients. They pack a<br />

lot of punch for their weight<br />

and are excellent sources of<br />

antioxidants needed by your<br />

body. While some superfoods<br />

cleanse and de<strong>to</strong>xify the body,<br />

others encourage a healthy<br />

digestive system.<br />

Matcha Green Tea<br />

Many of us now know that green tea is<br />

<strong>go</strong>od for us due <strong>to</strong> its antioxidant qualities.<br />

However beyond the realm of regular green<br />

tea, lies an incredible superfood known as<br />

matcha green tea (pronounced MA-cha). It’s<br />

a powerful superfood and contains over six<br />

times the antioxidants in <strong>go</strong>ji berries, seven<br />

times the antioxidants in dark chocolate, 17<br />

times more antioxidants than blueberries<br />

and 60 times the antioxidants found in<br />

spinach. And that’s just in one teaspoon!<br />
