Japan’s leading fashion brands are showcasing
their mastery of colour and tailoring in their Spring/
Summer 2015 collections. Unveiled at Mercedes-
Benz Fashion Week Tokyo, the collections come in
a wide spectrum of colours that includes tangerine,
coral, aquamarine, turquoise, green, tan and yellow.
Some of the standout pieces are Hiroko Koshino’s
modern-day take on the kimono; Tae Ashida’s elegant
cocktail dresses; Atsushi Nakashima’s dreamy deep
blue and aquamarine gossamer evening gown; Ritsuko
Shirahama’s playful geometric print shift dresses; and
Yuma Koshino’s layered tops and asymmetrical skirts.
Adding extra oomph to one’s spring and summer
wardrobe are these statement cocktail rings and
bracelets embellished with coloured gemstones.
